Censorship is better in US than Britain. Batman begins is a 12A here, which means anyone under 12 can see it. That means a 6yr old can go to a cinema and have nightmares when seeing the Scarecrow's face. PG-13 in US. I'm no expert, but i think that's 13+ only to see. Now tell me censorship is silly. I realise game censorship is silly, cause the board have just seen one person take the game literally and all. but they seem to forget the rest of us that have enough braincells to know its just a game. For films, the UK censors need a kick up the jacksie. Games, i dunno. Whats stupid is the fact that younger kids want to play these 18+ games but can't buy them, so they go to someone older to buy them. Dice dude I dont know what your talking about Im under 18 and have rented a thousand games that have the MA rating and knowone even flinched about it. Noone enforces those ratings people just want money. But it is really stuiped, you can go to strip clubs, kill old ladies off the street, get laid by a whore and kill her afterwards, shoot a cop in the face, but they are worried about a little porn? And you can take the blur off in the Sims for years now why are they cracking down on it now? And you do have a point here in America there are proably more porn stores then there are drug stores. There are thosands of sites all across the web that have porn on them, you can easily d/l porn. And your right why beat down GTA? buzz, the major difference, is that Mature rated games, are not very strictly enforced, you can get MA games when you are 12 pretty easily, adults only games are a lot more strictly enforced. Uh, it's not banned where I live. I was in EB Games last night, and they still have copies on the shelf that say MA-15+. Then again, Perth is full of slackers, and EB Games staff do tend to be a little slow.  I'd buy it, but I don't want to pay $90 for a PS2 game. _______________ A wizard did it. |

Actually what they're doing is recalling the games and releasing it with that content taken out of the game. Yeah now its adults only as opposed to the mature rating it had. I highly doubt it will ever be banned in the US. We can go to the store and buy pron, why couldn't we buy a game with pron. In the US it has offically been given an Adults only rating, meaning you have to be 18 to rent or buy it, so 90% of stores have pulled it from there shelves, but its still there, and still legal. I think its retarted that they are freaking out about this. Its a game, seriously. The going down the street, picking up hookers and killing them is ok, but a little bit of CG pron and OMG THE WORLDS GOING TO END. On a semi-related, equally stupid side note. The same guy that freaked out about GTA:SA is freaking out about the Sims 2. He is actually trying to get the game banned, because you can download a patch and take the blur's off the naked sims. What do you see when you do this? YOU SEE FLAT SKIN, LIKE A BARBI DOLL, OMG. What next, ban pokemon because the poke things? Seriously if i saw this lawyer on the street, I would not hesitate to deck him in the face and say "thats for being a total and complete MORON!" and then i'd walk away. I mean seriously, hes freaking out about GTA and the Sims 2, but games like "Leisure Suit larry Magna Cum louda" and "PLay boy mansion" Are perfectly fine. (for the record, i've played neither ofthem, but my local movie gallery carries both) Seriously ppl, they are computer games, right next to the website where the kid downloads the little patch, is a website full of videos of naked women. Is that getting banned? are they doing anything about that? real pron is much, much worse, then a flipppin computer game ever will be. It is over the top, but rockstar should not have left the content in the game or revealed that the content was in the game. That was stupid on their part and opened it up for the morons to come out of the woodwork in order to make the claims against how bad video games are.
