whats goin on with the environment? are they still cuttin up tress in brazil or whereever? are we gonna die of global warming? I NEED TO KNOW!!

I dont like trees, let alone the rain forest. if its too dumb to defend itself, its not worth living.

I don't know about global warming, but there's no question we're polluting our planet. I don't know if anyone's heard about the medical waste washing up on shore here on Long Island a few years back. Utterly irresponsible!

I read somewhere once that there's an "ice age" roughly every 12000 years and that global warming is part of a very long cycle. We're due another one(ice age) in about 3000 years.
Don't take this as gospel though, I can't remember the source. |

See now the destruction of ecosystems and such is something we can try to prevent. But the stuff about global warming and the ozone layer, how do they know what that stuff is like? How long have we known about that hole over antarctica and how long has it been there? I've never really heard an answer about that. Maybe its been there for the past 10,000 years and it shrinks and grows on its own. Same thing with global warming. Where do the "facts" start on it? 40 years ago? 50 years ago? 100 years ago? 2000 years ago? See I think its all about frame of reference. If someone wanted to they could take the temperature today, and then take it again tomorrow and if its warmer could say that global warming is real because the temperature has gone up _______________ When you are going through Hell, keep going. -Sir Winston Churchill. The worst think about the ppl destroying the environment is that there is no way to stop them. They only think about money, and as Fizze said, we're all gonna die at some time so why not just make as much money as possible when the fines are so cheap anyway? And they don't care about the next generation. |

i have also heard a lot of stuff about the ozone and global warming and bla bla and bla... but then i also hear that all this bla bla is not true at all, and that supposedly the "facts" are against it. but who knows... that's the problem with communication. when talking to someone on the other side of the planet is almost the same as talking to someone standing right next you, that's when you start losing track of what is true and what is not. _______________ make install -not war |

That depends on who you ask. According to some we're burning a big ole hole in the ozone layer. And we're gonna fry everything eventually from our using green house gases. If you ask others though, I seem to recall satellite data of the ozone layer over Antarctica shrinking some. Others saying that the size of the polar ice caps have not changed. I remember a few years ago Al Gore had this big thing about a document signed by so many scientists that global warming is real. When you looked at the scientists professions though they weren't exactly all environmental experts unless you think a hotel scientist or whatever knows about all the layers of the atmosphere. _______________ When you are going through Hell, keep going. -Sir Winston Churchill.
