Ooh, I love when you guys get feisty talking about the console wars.  Got an X360 today with Project Gotham Racing 3 and Perfect Dark Zero. It's super-sweet. My brother's a big Nintendo-geek so I'm sure we'll be getting a Revolution when the time comes as well.Myself, I'm not into the whole you're-either-for-us-or-against-us thing. Yes, I quite like the XBox and the X360. I think a lot of good games can be played on it. Sometimes I see a game in the store for the PS2 and think 'oh, I wish it would appear on my console' but then I'm sure others feel the same way. *spreads flowers everywhere* The JA - more love than a bus full of hippies. -Ken (PS: Obi, chill!) |

I try not to be biased when it comes to games. If a system comes out with fun games then I'll buy it. I used to be all fanboi about systems when I was young. Started with the Sega Gensis and the Super Nintendo. Everyone in school loved the Genesis so since they raved about it I just had to beg my parents for one. Well my parents got me a Super Nintendo instead. I was pretty pissed but games are games so I played it. Well finally two years later I got a Genesis. I was so excited. I rented a bunch of games for it, got bored and returned to my Super Nintendo. I got entangled in street hype with out even forming an opinion of my own. Same thing happened with Nintendo 64 and the Playstation. I was Nintendo all the way. I thought very lowly of people that would hoot and hollar about the PS. Then one christmas my parents got me one. And well, I enjoyed it. Though I still loved the 64, the PS offered numerous games for me to rent and chill with. Then came the current systems. Went ahead and got a PS2 and GameCube but rolled my eyes at the Xbox. The Xbox was the most retarded thing ever concieved in my opinion. It was just appealing to kids who loved products with "Xtreme" written on them. The games just didn't appeal to me with the exception of say "Halo". Sure graphics were good but the games seemed boring. And then last christmas I ended up getting one. As of right now I tend to play it more then I do the other systems mainly due to Xbox Live. Does that mean I don't care about the other systems? Hell no, I still play em and love em. I never count PC in any of this. The PC is always an awesome gaming escape. It has the best FPS and RTS experiances and generally has better suited multiplayer capabilities. Really the only problem with PCs are the fact that they are your responsibility. If your not up to date then tough luck on enjoying any current games. Some people are not fortunate enough to have excellent PCs and that's an advantage consoles have. A console is a one deal package (well most of the time). A kid just needs a controller, system, game and tv to play. No driver updates, ram upgrades or processor issues. Also, some games just play better with a controller. Anyway, my point is that games are games. People play them and enjoy them. I will get all the new systems eventually and still play PC games, why? Because I like games. As long as a console doesn't crash and burn such as the 3DO or Jaguar then I will most likely keep buying them. the xbox 360 running out of stock was planned. Um, revolution controllers = remote controls? WTF? silver boomerangs.. boomerangs are cool. You have to admit. The fact that you throw them and they come back is just awesome. YEAH! 360.. well, i havent played it. PC: owns all. Not only can it be as bad or as good as you want (or have cash to allow), you can do almost anything. Including modding it to the point where it follows yuo around like a little dog. You can! i just dont think anyone has.. Ah well. so.. im a nintendo guy, but the gamecube made me angry, and i converted to playstation. So.. Let's put it like this. Nintendo > PC > PS3 Yes, I excluded Xbox 360 because it sucks. All the games that come out on Xbox end up on PC anyway so why not spend 3 thousand dollars on an awesome PC instead of buying an Xbox that has less capabilities as well as games. Also, Mario all the way! |

I'm a Nintendo fan so the idea of anything other than that and PC doesnt really appeal to me,but while we're on the subject Xbox's are ok ,I enjoy them SO MUCH more than PS2s . games are good loved Halo 2, mmm Halo 2 and the smaller controllers, mmm smaller controllers. But i never really got to like them that much. But I'm sure the XBox 360 will be gooood, hella better than a PS2 or PS3, damn controllers look like Boomerangs, silver boomerangs . PC > PS3 > 360 imo You probably guess it's not for gaming reasons the PC is stacked up there. Although, most console games are converted to PC, and vice versa. But in this reverse transformation the games split on 2 or even 3 different platforms. Being a console gamer could get expensive. The reason the PS3 comes before the 360 is that I'm a gearhead, and I love car sims. And sadly, you can't get Gran Turismo 4 (or the new Vision Gran Turismo for PS3) on the other two.
