Right. Those who have played final fantasy may like this..... Which do you think is better, Final Fantasy VII or Final Fantasy VIII? You can add reasons as well! Another few weeks  They still havent changed the countdown on their site. They cant notice the different release dates on different sites and not notice their own incorrect one. At least S-E recognise the rumour though. |

Yep, and now it looks like Square Enix is a little ticked at 1up.com for posting a change in the release date. Basically, it's just 1up.com that says there will be a delay to November. Some more official word from Square Enix, since tehy are getting bombarded with e-mails: Quote: Square Enix Customer Support Advent Children has not even been shipped yet. There is no official release date set for Advent Children. We are aware of many retailers posting different release dates and all the rumors about the release. We are also aware of September 13th being shown at the end of trailers of Advent Children which was falsley represented. We are also aware of the article on 1up.com and our marketing department is trying to find out the source and the truth to the article. At this point in time, there is no official information about the U.S release nor was there ever. So I guess if Square Enix doesn't know if the 1up.com article is true, then that adds less credibility to the rummored delay. _______________ Jedi do not fight for peace. There's all sorts of details at adventchildren.net. Basically, both Sony (who distributes the DVD) and Square Enix, don't really know what's up. They know there is a possible delay, but aren't saying a month or so. Really, only thing official is that it may be a couple extra weeks. November is just way out. That's just what the stores are setting. Hate to break it to people, but if your local game store changes the date, that doesn't mean Square Enix has. I'm going to bank on the slight delay, if anything. You would think that if the trailers (recent ones as of 23rd) say Sept 14th in the US, less than a month away from the release, that it isn't going to be massively delayed. What I think is happening is that they have 2 weeks left now, the movie has been screened, they just need to wrap up the work in time. So it might be that they have 4 weeks worth of work to get done in 2. They may get it done in 2, they may get it done in 3 or 4. It's just so close to being done, they don't want to say Sept 14th and need an extra 2 weeks, nor do they want to say November and have it ready on the 14th. But I am really, really waiting for this. Been eating up as much of it as I can. But, as you can tell, I think FFVII is the best one. Playing it again before Advent Children. _______________ Jedi do not fight for peace. The Advent Children delay is just based on rumor. Recently when contacting Square-Enix about the release date, we were told that an exact US release date was never announced, but a plan for a release in the same time period, which appears to slightly contradict information released at E3. Quote: First off, there was never any release date set for the US version. The countdown that was put up on the website was put up by mistake. The release for the US version will be around the time after the Japan release of September 14th but still there is no exact release date. Thanks, Square Enix Customer Support It was really only 1UP.com has reported that the release date has been pushed back to November, but have not given a reason for such, nor stated any official word from Square-Enix. And 1up is not very reliable, once they had posted the release date as April this year and after April, they simply changed to August. I'll go with Square-Enix on this one. true true... but with a little work on that one, you can modify it to Cloud's standards  . (provided you know what you're doing...)after all, who'd be dumb enough to sell a Buster Sword exactly like the FF7 one? they'd prolly be breaking a few regulations with it lol... i say FFIX... dunno why that one was just my fave... for soundtrack... FFX. that battle theme man... first time i heard it i was like "  now THIS is atmosphere!" (also like FFX cause Bahamut rocked @$$!)EDIT: actually, real people can wield Buster Swords. i manage it just fine and i'm 16 (yeah my mom doesn't care what she buys me ). if anyone actually WANTS a Buster Sword... buy one HERE This comment was edited by Mikouen on Aug 23 2005 04:08pm. |

I like squall, i think his idea of keeping himself seperate from the group kind of gives him that rogue feel. You could describe him as 'emo'. Sides, I prefer realistic games, and seeing as you can build a gunblade and wield it, and im prety sure not many people can wield that flaming big h4xmachine that is the Buster sword. Why is it that the coolest looking weapons are always the crappest!? Plus Ragnarok is so much cooler than that big thing, w/e it is. Especially with the cutscene involving the attack on the Lunar thingy. Omg what a scene. See I like to get to know my characters (big problem in BHD) FF7 has its strengths though. I mean the battle music is ace. Sephiroth is a decent enemy to fight, and chocobo racing is funny! I very much preferred the storyline of ff7, but dislike the whole feel of the game compared to the cyberpunk coolnes of ff8. the music in ff7 has the age on ff8, even though 'eyes on me' is a fantastic song *sniff* (remembers the ragnarok scene) *sniff* The characters in ff7 were on the whole better than those of ff8. Cloud is a cooler charcter than squall, who was at times wholly dislikable, and I dont even need to mention Sephiroth. But one of the best things about ff7 was that many of the other lesser characters were very interesting and well developed. The graphics were much cooler of course in ff8, as you would excpect with it being released quite a while later. What really grabs it for me though, is the ff7 battle system. The materia system was ingenius and provided hours of interesting meddling and perfecting. Whilst the draw system provided hours of *draw* *go to next draw point* *draw* *go back to other draw point* *draw* *go back to other drawpoint* *draw* *switch character* etc etc. So overall, they both had their strengths in my opinion, but ff7 just edges it in my mind, due to its more complex and well developed plot and subplots, and wonderful game system. *gets nostalgic* _______________ |JAA| since 02/05/06 Green for life This comment was edited by Gil-Galad on Aug 14 2005 02:09am. |
