anyone played this yet?! wow, i was impressed!  awesome FPS that is kinda freaky scary. and i find the slow time feature to be just amazing! (i've not played a lot of other games out there with "bullet time," but i think this might be the best so far!  ) it's so fun to play it over and over just to kill guys in different ways with the slow motion + ragdoll + all kinds of other cool effects. i give it two thumbs up! very short though, but man...great demo. might be what a lot of people wanted Doom 3 to be!  just a warning, language/violence/scary...might not be a good thing for the younger kids  download link... http://www.fileshack.com/file.x?fid=7483 _______________ this is the internet, be serious damn it! if you really cant live without FEAR... but you experience hell a lot of slowdowns in game... i suggest you trying omega drivers http://www.omegadrivers.com as far as i heard they dont help to everyone (both versions helped me tho - omega nvidia for my geforce3ti and omega radeon for my ax600xt/td) so USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. remember there is always 'system restore' function in win xp _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february. yeah indeed... doom3 scaryness was all about shadows so whatever you see place with shadows... you are 'ready to be scared'. thats crap atleast from a demo FEAR looks really different mix of thrill, shadows, voices etc what do you need more? graphics card lol _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february. I'm getting ready for this game sense Doom 3 did its fare share of scares. omg awesome game autodetect detected high graphics setting so i tried with it well... its playable... but game slowdowns quite often so i think i will change the graphics to lower setting anyone knows how to get console for this game and what are cmds for showing fps? edit: i fear FEAR  edit2: omg the demo is so short  i bet all those mbs are just the graphic engine itself _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february. I didn't jump out of my seat or anything with this, but it was one of those things that makes you spooked out during the point of which you're in bed with the lights out trying to sleep. At that point, I crapped my pants. It's the aftermath of playing the game that will scare you. This game is AWESOME, it's the sole reason I'm going to spend a ton of money that I don't have to get a new PC. |

hmm, what I understood from only reading some posts is that this is a scary, bullet-time, FPS-game? Only game that sounds like to me is Painkiller, and if you haven't checked that out, please do! just google yourself to a page.. it's awesome.. Yeah, its an awesome demo, and it will definately be an awesome game. Its everything, that Doom 3 wasen't. F.E.A.R. got MUCH better AI, better graphics (in my opinion ), diffrent envionments (compared to Doom 3's overduplicated corridors), and its actually scary.
