Awwwwwww Well i dunno why our requirements are soo low, our school is the best public one in Dorset so it cant be because noone ever gets in. We have to get a pass in Maths and English or we cant get in though :/ Anyway good luck for next year Cuzza! |

Well I got enough GCSE's to get into Sixth form I got 5 B's and 6 C's rest are D's and E's (Spanish >_< all i need was 5 C's to get into sixth form so i did ok for not studying |

OK. Over here in Beaverland, things are run slightly differently. Let me explain... At the end of Grade 12, (and as of this year at the end of grade 10 as well), you take government-written Provincial Exams in all of your core subjects. These are designed to fairly and equally test all students in the province on the same learning outcomes, not what an individual teacher took, and are the marks universities look at. As well as a percentage mark, you are assigned a Standard Ministry Score, out of 800, on each exam, which is a *subjective* score based on how well you did as well as the distribution of the percentage scores and how difficult the exam was. I'm proud to report that I scored 800 out of 800 (exam score 95%) on my French exam, and even prouder to report that my top 3 exams (French/95%/800, History/89%/589, English/87%/572) more than summed to the 1800 points required for an automatic $1000 scholarship. _______________ Saving the world, one kilobyte at a time. |
