Okay, Google came out with something new, called Google Talk. It's an instant messenger program, that works with Gmail. So yeah, you need a gmail account for it. Its still in beta, but it's looking good so far. . Why should I use Google Talk? Google Talk is a great way to communicate with your friends without having to leave your computer. Ever just need to ask someone a quick question? Has planning for something over email gotten too complicated? Now you can get in touch with someone instantly without having to reach for the phone. You don't even need to reach for another address book. Your Gmail contacts are pre-loaded into Google Talk, so you can email, IM or talk to your friends with just a few clicks. Google Talk is simple and intuitive to use. There's no clutter, no pop-ups, no unnecessary software to install. And we think you'll like the Google Talk voice quality. In fact, we think you'll like it a lot; it's like your friend is sitting right next to you (and your voice will sound a lot better than it does on answering machines). Thats what it said in the FAQ =) Anyway, i was thinking, maybe some of you would be interested in this, but don't have a gmail account. Well i havent tried Google talk cos everytime i try a new IM i have to adjust the ports on my router -_- but im happy with MSN....on itself its pretty boring but with MSNPlus and Stuff-Plug everything is soo much better at least with Stuff-plug you can have any size dp you want and people with out stuffplug can still see the bigger sized dp. |
