I have a problem, I need to re-install the game but the uninstall button is missing so I can't uninstall it and just deleting all the games files deosn't work either. I can't play the game until it is fixed.
If anyone has any advice please post it here.

Manually delete the folder with the KOTOR2 junk (you might be able to salvage and use save games).

Then you can use a program like CCleaner to remove the registry riff raff that's left over. It searches the registry for crap that is left over. You can then delete it easily. I had to do this for a program recently that would not uninstall. Worked like a charm.

BUT the add/remove programs feature in windows also deletes the registry values, since it's from those values it determines if something is installed or not.. so it would work..

Unless you already manually deleted all of it. Then the uninstall wouldn't start up ... Believe me, I had the same problem he has now :P

in that case you need to take the game out of the registry

What Sazabi then later said in the last post, that's a whole different case then, and I can't help any more since I haven't heard the whole thing from Gilan Jinn himself..

your best bet would be to download Regcleaner.

It makes it a lot easier (+ safer I think too)
Just look for Lucasarts in the 'Author' section, and then find Kotor 2 in the Software section.

Select it by clicking it, and then select 'Remove Selected'.

That's all there is to it.
Of course, do be careful about removing things.

delete all game files and then go to start menu
and select run.
write regedit there.
now check HKEY_CURRENT_USER and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE software folders
for any kotor or lucas/kotor entries.
delete them.

WARNING!!! :
careful about deleting things tho - one wrong deletion and something really important will stop workin.
