I know this is a big community to manage and I don't pretend to know how much work it is...but what would be the reason we could not have a skin pack for members?

I see these elsewhere and I really dig the idea. It allows style outside of the box and promotes community.

I am not aware of the technical/server issues at hand, does this tax the server or slow game play?

I'm sure there are enough interested in having this, and enough able to assist in this responsibility.

Personally, I'd at least like to see the staffers have them...it would be a nice distinction for us to see and to be able to pick them out easier (not that its not already apparent :D)

...and if not for everyone else, perhaps for people who have been with the JA for a given period of time or some other quant/qualifiable way.

Setementor pretty much covered what I was going to say. Also, there aren't many active skinners (or decent skinners at all) in the JA. The best way to have unique skins would be through us adding Jaden add-ons, which we have done in the up-coming skin pack. I even made them have color changeability :D. That's probably the most practical thing we can do to make people's models look unique.

While it could sound like a good idea, there's a lot to it. As you mentioned, this is a huge community; if everyone were to have their own skins, they'd take huge amounts of time to make, lots of uploading to the server, lots of bandwidth and turn out to be one enormous skinpack, one that most people probably wouldn't care to download.

I'm not aware of the current servers' specs, but too many files can cause issues, if my memory serves me right.

Personally, I'm happy with the skins we have at the moment. A small skinpack may work out, but with a large skinpack, there comes a lot of problems.

On that note, there's a new skinpack that'll hopefully be released sometime within the next month. :)
