Apple unveiled their new iPod today, the new "feature" is that it plays video. This is only marginally cool IMHO. Here is the me the real seller. 1.) 30 GB for $300 (no price increase) 2.) Bigger screen 3.) 20 hours of battery life 4.) Smaller overall, under 1/2 inch thin and overall they claim it is 45% smaller than the original iPod. Like I said I am really not that hyped about the video, but seriously BIGGER screen, smaller size, better battery, no price increase. As it is, I've already shelled out $520 for a 60 GB one (one of the first ones from the integration of the iPod and iPod photo lines), and am not quite ready to do that again yet. This could very well be something to get, but I only need an mp3 player.. I have my hometheathre, and a pocket-theathre wouldn't really be my style.. I still use a portable CD-player and it's not even a mp3-one! Well I guess I'm short on cash in any way.. I have to get a new training card for my Muay Thai lessons (175€), some new gear for that aswell(~215€), and a new camera(~350€).. All this in a matter of weeks, and with no job, and no possibility to have one, I'm guessing getting an iPod will be something of an illusion for the next, let's say, 2 years maybe. I'm REALLY psyched about the $2/per tv show download on iTMS. All I want is for the sci fi channel to catch on to it and I'll buy everything they got. I'm seriously considering getting an iPod now. This is the way of the future, kids. Now you wont bring a DVD to the party, you being your iPod with a handful of movies on it and s-video it over to your TV. The new iMac is pure sex as well. What old iPod? They have removed it from the website, maybe a few stores will try to sell some of them at a lower price, but IMHO one of apple flaws is they almost never lower prices.
