Slate.com just posted this interesting look at Star Wars as a series that's a whole lot more intelligent than we might give it credit for (warning: they use a lot of big words and ideas in the article. Get your thinking caps out). I agree with a lot of it, although I think it may be a case of trying to cram the movies into an idea that has a pretty tight fit... but nonetheless if you know anything about Lucas's early work like THX 1138 you can see the validity of the argument. _______________ -Academy Leader/Dictator/Defeater of DJ Sith and JACen Solo in the JAK+ Tournament -I do think it (the JA) will help convert dozens, maybe hundreds, to the dork nation... --me |
