ok... lets say i want to know which programs are using internet and how much of it (kb/s) ... how can i know that? any help is appreciated  _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february. Poke around in the Windows Command Prompt a bit. There's quite a few interesting utilities that got stolen from Unix along the line. One to start with: C:\> netstat /a Shows you all ports that are open on your computer, as well as any connections that are open to remote machines. For example, mine currently shows connections to irc.quakenet.org, the MSN Messenger servers, and thejediacademy.net. I believe there's also an option in it somewhere to show how much bandwidth each program is using. Look around in Command Prompt - type "help" to get a list of commands to try out! _______________ Saving the world, one kilobyte at a time. |

I think you can find something here..  Also, you can download a program called Netlimiter, where you can limit how much bandwidth a program is able to use.. There you also see every program that uses the bandwidth and how much it currently is using it. I don't remember where you can find Netlimiter but http://www.download.com/ is a great place to find freeware, and I'm fairly confident that you'll find Netlimiter there. If you don't however, you can google for it.
