Well i just tried the demo and i thought i will share my opinion.

Graphics. Well they are very great just with one little 'visual treatment' option which adds lots of effects, glowyness and stuff like that to the game though my 3000mhz, 512ram , ax600xt pc doesnt seem to handle more than that one option too well... maybe its just the drivers - but mine are up to date - 10/25 there arent any newer video drivers for me.

Gameplay. the car handling is very balanced - you can really handle the drifting, driving and braking states very well with any cars in demo version - i never had to turn all the way to the side and not turn at all, i could just get in to drift state :) to get in to more comfortable position . Hot pursuit mode is very fun... you can use your environment to stop police.
ok whats more... well i can feel the car on the road now , its not super real but atleast its not a flying simulator now. oh dont forget the game world and the tracks you can drive! they are much better now - sort of country-side and street mix :)

sounds. the same crappy nfs:hp2,nfsu1,nfsu2 pop music. maybe someone likes it but i dont :)

conclusion : after playing demo i can tell that this hot-pursuits and undergrounds mix is much smoother than any of those alone :)
cant wait for full version to pwn all with allmighty porsche :)
though i hope radeon users will get better drivers soon...

ahh kensei u said on msn that difficult=realistic
and you are kinda right but not always pure realistic games are fun :)
btw that richard burns rally game isnt all that realistic ya know...

I said difficult != realistic (necessarily)

Quote:
lol u make no sense Kensei, u first made a post saying it was a Arcade game, Since when have Arcade games used real physics ? its for purely fun purposes EA, only do Arcadey games

Actually I do make sense :P I was stating that IF someone classified NFS5 as having realistic physics, then we need to re-evaluate the laws of physics :P BUT, it doesn't :D And EA don't only do arcadey games, beacuse they attempted F1 sims with the F1X series :)

kensei you obviously played nfs5 for 5 minutes or less...
and i can feel the 'i know its poo even before i played it' feeling so how can you review it? drop it lol

I'm talking about the physics my friend :) We really need to rethink the entire laws of physics if cars handle like they do in NFS5 :P

maybe... :)
still its one of those unique games which have enough simulation and enough arcade = fun and a bit difficult car handling :)

ok tell me some good simulation games please coz the only one i can think now is gtr fia racing... and i cant play that one coz i dont have a wheel ;)

Well, firstly, you're going to need a wheel - the following products may prove detrimental to your health without a wheel :P :D

Richard Burns Rally - www.richardburnsrally.com (the ultimate rally sim - and possibly the most accurate simulation of all time with regards physics).

Live for Speed - www.liveforspeed.net (a great sim that is currently in development. However, it has three evolution stages before the final product - each costing £12 at public release. We're currently on public release 2 [S2] in Alpha stage :) It'll cost you £12 for S1 + £12 for S2 to join us in S2 online. The most fun you've ever had online - not so good offline).

GT Legends - www.gtlegends.com (from the same guys as GTR, but its just so much fun flinging around old cars :D)

If you need any sim-racing info catch me on MSN or something. Also head over to the site I work for (www.rscnet.org) - the single largest sim-racing forum in the world :) Be prepared for a largely crap website (the admins are a bit - well, lets say - protective and, as such, try to do everything themselves. Meaning quality goes down the drain by-and-large) but a great forum with over 70,000 members :D

well you are right - nfs is now arcade-semi-arcade type of game but everything looked very different when nfs5:porsche unleashed came out. i thought 'THATS PROGRESS!', everything changed after that unlucky nfs:hp2 lol...

if you want a quick description about nfs:mw i can give you one:
thats how nfs:u2 should have looked when it came out :)

No, its totally arcade - arcade all the way - no realism about it :P

Bah, you're all lightweights! :P NFS always has been and always will be an arcade series. If you want proper, hardcore sim-racing, you're talking about racing RBR, LFS and N2003.

EA are sending me NFS next week to [p]review for them - and, well, I shudder just thinking about it :P I've never had to review such crap (apart from when TDK sent me World Racing 2) in my 8 years of sim-racing :P
