Please note that the Two towers depicted in various "The Lord of the Rings : The Two Towers" are not the two towers that give us the name!
The two towers in the poster, are the Tower at Isengard, Orthanc , and the Tower of Sauron , in Mordor, Barad Dur. The actual Two Towers are Minas Morgul ,at the gates of Mordor and its sister , Minas Tirith. These two were a pair of towers that at the time of LOTR were governed by Gondor (Minas Tirith) and the other by Sauron (Minas Morgul). Just another excample of changes for teh film (I am writing this from memory , so forgive inaccuracies) |
