Is there anyone who hasnt cried at a movie before? it takes alot for me to cry in a movie im just not a very soft guy on emotional stuff but i did cry once in a movie, it just touched me somehow and i couldnt control myself. The movie in question is The Green Mile. Very old movie, 1999 was its release but i was just looking at movies in my collection and glanced upon it and thought i would hand it to you guys to see if u cried or not.

The main part that got me was right at the end when MDC (Michael Duncan Clarke) reminds us that he is scared of the dark. that scene just yanked on me big time heh

When i was little My parents rented E.T. I cried at the end of it when he flies away on the ship, but I tried to tell my parents that I had something in my eye, so I could run off to bed, pride still intact.

I don't usually cry at movies but I once got very sad and almost cried when I saw the movie "Glory". It's about Robert Shaw who leads the US Civil War's first all-black volunteer company, fighting prejudices of both his own Union army and the Confederates.

At the end where they have to attack the fort on the beach hill gets me because it actually happened, none of them made it. It's not "just a movie" because it actually happened in real life, total self sacrafice. They knew they where going to die and when Shaw says in the movie "If the American flag falls who will pick it up? ...who will pick it up!?", then that guy steps forth to do it. They show the one white guy who stood up for them being burried in the sand with all of his brothers who are black, and when the credits roll, showing the memorial sculpture of them with that emotional music. Very sad.

I didn't used to cry at movies, but a couple of years ago I caught myself doing it!

I will nearly always cry at moments of personal sacrafice.

Chick flicks don't get me, its just the action/hero flicks that do

I cried during "The Passion of the Christ." I've never been an extremly emotional person, but that movie just touched me, deeply. To see all the things that i've always been taught about acted out, to see the pain and suffering, it just touched me and I cried there. I am also more on the emotional side, and I think theres been other movies were I at least teared up.

Yeah, same here - The Passion really did it for me.

this may sicken you... but I was kind of expecting all the grusome with everyone talking about it... it was more metoinal before watching it than during it... .during it... I was just calmly eating ketchup chips through the whole thing... yes ketchup chips... through the WHOLE thing...

Aw, tell me you guys didn't cry at Beavis and Butthead Do America!

Especially that really emotional scene near the end, where Butthead turns to Beavis and say, "Uh...Huh huh, huh, huh huh, heh heh heh..." This is the stuff of great drama.

Aye.. obviously its "just a movie" other-wise people would be filing reports against it rather than crying. :)

I've cried watching a film (which is english for movie :P) but I don't think of it as much of a big attribute, movies purposes are the suspension of disbelief in mopst cases, so in my opinion it's a perfectly normal thing to do. But it might just be me finding an excuse to not look like a sissy

yeah.. i dont get it btu i take the true story movies more of like an historical look approach.... and get more touched by fictional movies for some reason. ( by the way when i voted yes for crying.. i was thinkign of emotional upset... not actaul tearing. )

I agree, The Green Mile is an awesome film and I've never been as touched by a movie as i was back in 1999 when i first watched that movie. It still effects me as bad now as it did then.

Note: Monteeee you watch movies like The Warriors... AND YOU WONDER WHY YOU DON'T CRY?!?!

Yeah, I have cried too...granted I am a bit more on the emotional side to begin with :) The movie that gets me all the time is Armageddon with Bruce Willis and Liv Tyler. I guess the fact that I was a single dad of a daughter when I saw it first may have had something to do with it.
