Especially the part where Cedric is brought back, the music coupled with the phenomenal acting from all parties made for one of the cinematic sequences that made me shed tears. Even Peter Jackson would have trouble. And come on Professor, we have another movie to see what Harry feels about it at the end.  My point was, that they missed alot of stuff that was a little more important and filled it with crap and a load of stuff that didn't happen, or did happen... just in a different way! For example, i don't remember anything in the book about Harry, Ron and Hermione worrying about whether or not they'll write to each other over the summer.. i believe Harry was a little more shocked from Cedric's death. Its a good film don't get me wrong, but lets admit it, it was crap and could of been better with a little more effort.. it was rushed and was not an improvement on the 3rd film, which was absolute cack. Since when has Hagrids hut been 400 miles away in a forest somewhere? Come on, in the 1st film, they walk out of Hogwarts and look.. theres Hagrids hut in the grounds. 2nd film, they walk out of Hogwarts and look.. theres Hagrids hut in the grounds. but in the 3rd film, walk out of Hogwarts, down a hill, through a forest, over a lake, past a few rocks, over a pit of lava, through a maze and boom! I found the movie just plain great. To be truthful, I never actually read any of the books except half of Sorcerors Stone a few years back and the first two chapters or so in The Order of the Phoenix =\ But my brother said in the Goblet of Fire they got down all the important scenes right on target and from what he explained to me, it seemed like it was all perfect but like everyone says, if you put every detail in the movie from the book we would be watching the movie for 6-8 hours (not as bad as it seems). |

Yeh, well my belouve bro im not sure it was OK better than the last. They kept all the important bits in but *POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING* they changed parts such as the first triwizard trial with the hungarian horntail needlessly, shoulda been left how it was. Then again I'll never be happy so if you ask me a Harry Potter fan will only enjoy the 1st+2nd films. but as I say not bad... I enjoyed the movie however it is nothing compared to the book. In regards to the ending, I am not sure they led into the next movie adequately. Im the same Bail, i saw it today... Is it me, or didn't Harry leave Hogwarts in less than a happy mood? According to my girlfriend Ron and Harry are so 12 year old boys.. because of their "Harry.. its all going to change now isn't it?" "Yep.." No subtlty Its tripped/warped!! Plus.. how much has the film missed out of the book! It's really quite poo. Theres more i want to rant, but im quite ill.. I happened to see it Friday night. I liked the movie very much right until the ending came. Hey guess what, Lord Voldy is back, so let's all worry about Hermione and Ron and Harry writing letters to each other. And then let's have an ending where all seems well, and no one seems troubled. *SPOILERS* Okay that being said, I didn't really like it. A lot of all the cool stuff (the quidditch game, for one) was cut out and removed. I know this is needed for shortening the film, but showing Filch dancing with his cat rather than having the coolest quidditch match in all the books is a littttttttttttle wrong ^^. _______________ Artificial intelligence beats natural stupidity. |

Well, it was alright. Good action, some parts of the book are portrayed very well, and some excellent casting. Bad points: a few plotholes, and too many key elements from the book are missed out. Personally It'd get no more than 3.5/5 from me _______________ Former padawan of RoseRed |
