Nah I have to agree with you all on this, some good points have been brought up. The trailer does look a bit iffy to me, but who knows, could turn out to be a fantastic movie, though I doubt it. I, too, am just excited that some Superman movie is finally on its way. I reckon the 4th movie rocked though, Grad.  I think the Smallville crew are absolutely terrific, best I've seen in a long time, due mainly to the way they fit their roles so perfectly. This being said, I'm not sure if Tom Welling would have been a good Superman for the new movie. He's proven to act especially well as a teenager growing up through school and has effectively conveyed the problems that Superman would have gone through as a youngster, but I'm just not sure that I could see him acting as the older, tougher Superman. Or I could be wrong, and he could blow the audiences away with how well he does it, who knows. I do know for a fact that *quite* a lot of females around the world would love to see him in a tight costume and cape heh. Janus is absolutely correct about the discrepancies found within Smallville and issues with lack of continuity there. I really don't care though, Lex Luthor's actor is freaking awesome and I love the whole show. I thought the Xmen movies were done pretty good as well, bummer you didn't think so Orion. New Supes trailer looks good, and I'd have to say I'm iffy with agreeing on "it should have been the smallville" cast comment there Grad. Smallville's good, but I think they got the casting right for the new movie. I think they've personally gone off and deviated a chunk from the real Superman story on that show that it's sorta out of control. A lot of stuff should have happened by now, it's just all retarded. Continuity to me is a big issue nowadays with remakes and such like that. Like the Xmen movies deviated, but they kept the spirit of the Xmen there pretty well, so the deviations didn't seem so bad. Superman lore and history however, from the getgo, it's been all messed up. Clark and Lex were never friends... Clark was flying and revealed it to Lana during senior prom of high school... Clark NEVER knew Lois until he WAS "Superman" and in Metropolis There was no Chloe....Allison Mack...ugh.... Pete's African American, but the whole Race thing doesn't matter to me, but he DOES end up with Lana as her husband, they wrote him off the show like a joke.... Sorry, I vented for no reason, main topic of the thread was the Trailer, saw it in the theaters, I'm pumped for it, whoo hoo! Didn't mean to deviate on xmen movie defense and how smallville's good but so off course....keep on rockin! _______________ Be honorable, be friendly, be trustworthy. It's about time some sort of trailer came out for this. And Orion, the X-Men movies pwn you. I'm just excited to see a new Superman movie, wether or not it's that good. The old Superman movies weren't that good, at least 3 and 4.
