well my brother just burned his video card so he wants to buy a new one , but he doesnt want to buy a very expensive one because he will only use photoshop so he came up with two choices: AGP- Gigabyte GeForce 6600LE TURBO 128MB 128bit TV, DVI-I FanSink and AGP- Gigabyte Radeon 9550 128Mb DVI TV-out which one is better? note: i pasted those from some pc parts catalog so lol _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february. Well the nVidia is a 'LE' version, which is probably best to steer clear of, even though I prefer nVidia generally. They have lower clock speeds etc than a standard GPU of the same model, and can be prone to overheating as they rarely have much integrated cooling to speak of. _______________ |JAA| since 02/05/06 Green for life |

Go with the nvidia, between those 2 choices. The 6600 is better than a radeon 9800, let alone a 9550, this isnt even a contest. _______________ I know whats been troubling you...... |

Can you get a PCI-E card? My buddy at work is pretty big into PC gaming and he is regretting building a computer about a year ago that doesn't have PCI-E slots, he wants to upgrade his graphics card, but everything new that he is interested in, doesn't come in AGP anymore. NOTE: This is all 2nd hand info, I haven't upgraded a PC in years.
