I can't get the curves in my map to display the textures right. Instead of the normal pattern of the texture, it just repeats every couple inches, which makes it blurry and ugly. Anyone know how to fix this?

Shift-S. Same thing as manipulating regular textures, but for patches.

Haven't I told you that before? :P

If you're using a Patch Mesh for the curves, then you can cycle the texture fitting by pressing Shift+Ctrl+N until you get the look you want.

use the patch surface inspector. select your curve/mesh w/e then press shift+s there you have some options to adjust it, like natural, cap, rotate etc.
