Look, I've seen plenty of kids use one "activist cause" or another as an excuse for obnoxious behavior. Most often, in my opinion, activism is a misguided attempt to impress the opposite sex, and in fact the "activists" seldom have any knowledge of their pet issues that runs any deeper than their bumper-stick slogans or what they parrot from the talking heads on CNN. Mr. Krupnik, however, is 58 years old! I'll give Mr. Krupnik this, though: He may be using a shallow "activism" as an excuse for obnoxious behavior, but he is not vandalizing anybody else's property, trespassing or assaulting anybody the way many "activists" do. His is a peaceful, albeit icky, protest . I find it kind of ironic that somebody trespassed on his property and stole the head. Way to turn an obnoxious jerk into a martyr for free speech. Quote: Krupnik, 58, said he won't negotiate with the headnappers. "I wouldn't stoop so low," he told the Post. Stoop so low? I think that ship has sailed.
