| Help needed my JA friends! My surround sound doesnt work! (properly) | |

I just recieved some creative t5900 5.1 surround sound speakers for the pc, but they only seem to work with guild wars and half life 2 (+cs/hl2dm etc) but not with jedi academy or battle for middle earth! I know that both of these games feature surround sound so I am puzzled as to why it does not work, also windows media player only playes through right and left front speakers and subwoofer! I have changed it to 5.1 mode in windows control panel and my sound cards panel thingy, I have an Avance AC"97 audio onboard sound card, thats supposedly supports 5.1 surround, does anyone know what the problem is??
