Hi guys, i have a problem with my JK3 JediAcademy. Whenever i'm playing, be it single or multiplayer, the game will stop and be brought back to the main menu with an error message
"BadRetype"

or

"RB_CheckOverflow:verts>MAX(524292>1000)"

or

"RB_CheckOverflow:verts>MAX(524294>6000)".

This problem has persisted for a very long time and i have completely no idea how to deal with it. I've tried uninstalling and then reinstalled it over and over again but my efforts were to be of no avail... My computer meets all the requirements for JK3. Can anybody out there please help me, tell me what to do to solve this problem
:(
Thank you.

Some model data in a file is corrupt so it's getting a bad value for the number of verts and giving you the error.. remove any special pk3s you have.

It's probably a custom file going beyond the game's vertex limit.

Generally a good way to fix bad files etc without knowing which one is simply rename your jka folder in lucasarts, then reinstall. Should give you a fresh start. Dunno if that will help though, let us know.

Sounds like a file problem. If you have any custom .pk3's in your base folder, take em out. If you have any custom mods installed in your gamedata folder, take them out. Other than that, try updating your DirectX. If that doesn't work, try installing to a different location.

i am by no means good at computer but try reinstalling your game, checking if the cd is dirty. If the cd is dirty wash it with windex ( yes windex ACTUALLY works ). If there was a time where your game worked, uninstall the thing that after installing it it stopped working. GOOD LUCK! :)
