Perhaps it is just my school, but ICT is absolutely awful. Me being a gamer I know alot about Pc's most notably there specifications e.g. why L2 cache is good and the difference between types of DDR ram. Our teacher gave us an assignment, it was too think of a problem and solve it using ICT. So as I have a thirst to prove myself to my teacher I decided to make a half-life 2 map , the problem being that I had run out of levels to play  So I set to work on a small amateur hl2 map took screenshots and explained what it was knowing that my ICT teacher would not have a clue. I took screens of my map in action and screens from the HAMMER hl2 editor. Everyone else in my class did promotional posters for non existent products using paint so I was sure I would finally impress my ICT teacher and make her realise my understanding of pc's and software. Her comments on my work were 1 It needed to be stuck in my book 2 She didnt know much about PS2 games! I mean oh my god! Did she not read the flippin problem sheet? Doesn't get any better in college, I'm sorry to tell you. My IT lecturers know next to nothing. I get the web development lecturer asking me questions the whole lecture (and they're the same questions he asked last lecutre...), the databases guy virtually asking me to teach the lesson because he's not sure how to use SQL and isn't 100% confident with Access. Then you get the Internet and Business Systems lecturer, who always checks stuff with me before she tells the class. So, err, enjoy. _______________ Website |

Yes. Our schools GCSE ICT is utter crap. The teachers are boring, know nothing etc. The reason we have a head of the ICT department is because this guy was the only one who knew how to turn our school's first PC on...how f*ckin' pathetic is that? He knows absoultly nothing. The rest are also very slow when they work. Eg. They will select what they need to copy, goto edit > copy...WTF?!?!
