best way to do the space station thing is bring 6 xwings and 6 ywings 2 frigates and a corvette. (didn't use falcon). Bring the xwings into sfoils and make them target the shield generator of the space station. Even if their attack powers are a bit down 6 squadrons of xwings take down the shield generator pretty damn fast. After that just bring in the frigates for support and just looking cool and then break in the ywings and use the ion cannons on either the hanghar or the engines of a destroyer. |

Acey, Bail said something about the hangar still being left alive. I took that to be that for some reason he wasn't getting a lock on the hangars hard point. your all complaining about that hanger.. Hard points are there for a Reason Kill the engines and those destoyers can't maneuver anymore.. well hardly.. I did it and both of them ran into the space station.. although that didn't do damage to either.. feh.. in that Effect.. why not blow off those hangers first. that way.. No more extra ties to pick off your y-wings. First time I played it.. I got pwned. so I restarted.. 3 frigates.. they got pwned early. but both destroyers had engines dead so they could only meander around some. I slowly picked off the hard points with my y-wings while my x-wings floated around destroying stuff. y-wings dead. Both destroyers dead in teh water with only emp weapons. Satellite thingy with sheild and a few batteries. I had 4 groups of x-wings and finished them off. another tip is to use the special function of the x-wings to get more damage. when attacking from behind an enermy. have them deployed so you shoot more. then when you pass bust into speed so you dodge most of the shots. As for that land battle. I had about 6 artillery in total to play with. here's a note. the Shield around the base doesn't stop the artillery rockets. also I tried leading the rancor into the empire base but he got blasted by the big cannon =( _______________ .Lag Bro to Xanatos. you can build more of the deployed torpedo launchers. Is there something I need to do to get those probes? All artillery units (the ones you need to deploy in order to fire) come with that little sensor probe. Han has one too, haven't tried his yet. The Falcon can go invulnerable for a bit. I believe the two torpedo launcher units (don't remember the exact name) that you get on your homebase cannot be produced due to the demo's restrictions. At the start, move ALL of your forces to the eastern camp. The only company you should have there are speeder bikes and a VERY occassional AT-ST. If a rancor is there, have the humans take it out. Set up, then use humans and/or jawas to grab the western camp and the southern (if you lost it to Boba Fett). At the eastern camp, start bringing in your reinforcements. (As Buzz mentioned about space battles, Han and Chewie are good to have). When you're set up, attack the imperials from the North and make sure the shield generator goes down. Argh... that was...mean... to put all the features only in the full version grayed out. I could probably normally buy it with my birthday money, but we'd have to buy a new hard drive too. I found a mod for this demo that allows you to use a Super Star Destroyer, which is awesome. After unsuccessfully trying to locate it again, I can say that it's somewhere in www.eawfiles.com. |

My suggestion for you is this, scrap your ground troops so you can have additional space forces. Put Han and Chewie in the fleet so you'll have the Falcon. I think I only used a max of 6 X-wings and 6 Y-wings, and I've tried it using 3 Frigates. I actually had 4 but one couldn't come in until I had lost one of the frigates. Have your x-wings and the Falcon take out fighters and bombers. Use your Y-Wings to take out the Vic and the other capital ship. Send the frigates in after you have knocked out one of the shields on the ships which shouldn't be too hard with the ion cannons. After the ships are out just go all out on the station with everything. Send X-wings or the Falcon to deal with any TIEs that get too close or harrass you. _______________ When you are going through Hell, keep going. -Sir Winston Churchill. Yes, I know, and they'll destroy all hard-points (even if you don't click them) one by one, and after that, they'll leave teh hangar alive. The space station remains alive, and it'll keep shooting TIEs at you, but you can't target the hangar by itself and it becomes impossible to target the station either. So, yeah, what do I do, in this case? I already tried around 20 times (in various difficulties) but the problem remains the same. _______________ Visit the Belouve Family Website!
