I heard the creator of the comic is really pissed off at the movie and wants nothing to do with it. _______________ When you are going through Hell, keep going. -Sir Winston Churchill. I saw it last night and it was pretty good. Like Leif said it's not just your typical thoughtless action movie it actually has a plot and makes you think. Natalie Portman and Hugo Weaving were both great. _______________ Gladiators, I salute you. |

Okay, my friends and I went to see this today, and it was by far the best movie I've seen in the past year. At last, a movie that really and truly goes beyond borders and questions morality and perspective and actually keeps you on the edge of your seat. The acting was top-notch, Natalie Portman delivered a superb performance (as I predicted!), with great character development for her character as well. The plot was really moving and the action was just wow. And V, don't even get me started on V, he was mega, the subtle yet idealistic hero that incorporates justice into being. And all the themes that were portrayed in the movie were fantastic too. Remember, remember, the fifth of November, Everyone, go out and see this movie! Plus, Mr. Lucas can't write romantic dialogue if he had a manual with step-by-step descriptions and pictures in it. _______________ Proud owner of El Vee For's 200th Comment, and Wicek's 2600th comment DaMi3N's 400th, Trad Redav's 666th. |

Yeah Portman actually is a very good actress. You can't really judge any acting talent on the performances in the prequels. One look at what kind of a script they had to work with. And all the blue screening. And then knowing that all Lucas wanted them to do was stand around and talk so he can do his editing and move them around _______________ When you are going through Hell, keep going. -Sir Winston Churchill. Garden State was a great film, i have not seen Closer though. I am going to hold my judgement of this film until i have read some reviews, looks like it could be good though. _______________ To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield | Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken | Rhaiko D'kana - SWTOR EU Guild Co-Founder | Is it what the teacher, teaches? Quote: Natalie Portman is a fantastic actress, she just didn't seem to care much for the Star Wars prequel series. Her acting skills really bloom in Garden State. She was excellent in Closer, too. Great movie, by the way, though not for the faint of heart. |
