Just downloaded ad-aware after following DJ's link(thanks:D) and thought it might be a good idea if we shared our knowledge on other cool diagnostic programs and other useful stuff.

These few have helped me most...

http://www.tiler.com/freemeter/

http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

http://www.bigfix.com/website/

http://www.freshdevices.com/freshdiag.html

So, if you've got any other useful programs or programs better than the ones I'm using, please post them here.

A good, free, unlimited use start-up manager would be very much appreciated :D!

msconfig is awesome, but i think it's only on W98 & ME if I'm not mistaken.

I found these links rather handy:

http://www.webopedia.com/

http://whatis.techtarget.com/

http://www.pcpitstop.com/

The 2nd one even has a "Word of the Day" which is pretty cool.
