This is all lovely and such, but this here primo official website doo bob regards this as a lie. Who's lying? Shrug. There may not be two sides to every story if one of the sides is dead, but this sure fire is not the case here.

Dinner time. Hooray!

Meh yeah they deny it as they have denied many things that have later come true :P they might even be being strait with their customers for once, who knows, guess we will find out over the next few months or so.

finally SOE will not be continuing SWG!!!(thats what i took out of it and if im wrong correct me please...now back to being happy)
maybe som1 else will do it!!!!

And how is that other company going to do SWG? For the sake of discussion, let's assume SOE loses the license to continue SWG. That doesn't mean that LucasArts gets SWG. All LucasArts would get back is the Star Wars name. SOE still owns all IP rights on the database and source code. While SOE would no longer be able to market the game due to the Star Wars title, LucasArts wouldn't be able to either, because everything outside of the names of the places and a few classes would belong to SOE.

SOE owns the engine, the scripts, and the artwork. Sorry to be such a "downer", but SWG is either going to be SOE's or SWG will be started from scratch.

It is possible for SOE to esll the engine, the scripts, and the artwork to another company though.

Aye heard about this yesterday, and yeah Sony could sell it to LA if LA are really interested in continuing with a star wars online game.

I'm not sure if they rumours about Bioware making a new version based on swg is true, but some veteren players i know have been commenting that it is the most interesting rumour of many that go by, and in the past plenty of rumour has turned out to be true in swg, more so than most games anyway.

Personally i can see, and hope to see, a new Star Wars MMOG, its a popular franchise with vast scope, and very loyal fanbase, shown by the fact its still so popular after the prequals more than anything else. I think its probably one of the things LA will look at when deciding how to continue to make money from star wars, tv series, books, and this along with other things such as other popular games franchises will bring the cash in.
