Just watched a movie ? let us know what you just watched with a simple watch, Avoid or if your bored next to it.

Lets face it people dont have the same taste in movies but its pretty simple to work out if you wanna watch it, the Watch or avoid is just a guideline to that genre, so if you like the genre then you will like the movie more than likely.

i'll start

today i watched

Finders Fee - Mystery Indie movie - Watch for sure

Red Eye - Thriller - Only if your bored ( though cillian murphy is creepy :D )

carry it on :D

Chaos Theory - Dont bother. The best bit was a 3 - 4 minute scene with Sarah Chalke (elliot from scrubs) dressed in very nice under garments. Total sausage-fest otherwise.

If this is a flop, I shall be dissapointed. And no Jaina, I dont think its Dexters Lab, although it would be hilarious if it were.

hmm you might not like it from the beginning since dexter looks like a complete douche at first, BUT by episode 6 or 7 you should be hooked i guess.

I saw The Motorcycle Diaries, which is a film about the future Che Guevara and his friend taking a trip across South America on an old motorbike. Its a really magnificent film, funny, thought provoking and visually arresting.

They have made film about The Motorcycle Diaries ?
hmm... I need to watch it... I have read book version of it and I liked it :)

They have indeed, and if you enjoyed the book you'll most likely enjoy this film. Gael Garcia Bernal and Rodrigo Del la Serna give fantastic performaces as the leads in particular. :)

Is this the same Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory? If so the show seems to have gone in a different direction...

:P

Nah it follows Miami homicide's forensic expert Dexter Morgan as he helps solve crimes, deal with his past, and juggle a social life with being a serial killer. Its a fantastic show that I would recommend to anyone, each series tries something new and due to their short length (12 episodes, short for an American serial) it has little fluff and filler.

Cuth i'd be very surprised if you don't enjoy it!

Er havn't seen any movies of late, but Fringe is most enjoyable. :D

something like that i guess... its just the humour and the dexter himself arent like in most movies/tvshows. well he is in a way, but simply put - its not your ordinary boring show.
also the storyline is very good.

Dexter is awesome.

Just saw Australia today. I was a little cynical going in but it wasn't to bad. The 3hrs went pretty quick. There were a couple of time I rolled my eyes but I think that was more because as an Aussie I thought it a bit much but to an outsider, they probably wouldn't notice.
The only reason I saw it was because of a power outage in my area so I went to the cinema and that was the next best thing on, now I'm glad I did.

I thought Quantum was pretty good, not quite Casino Royale good, but nevertheless an enjoyable film. Its important to note that while the new James Bond films are borrowing certain things from other franchises, something many others have done to the Bond franchse itself in the past, it still retains its own unique identity. Also in my opinion Craig is one of the best Bond's since Connery, and the most English one at that. :P

In other news:

I saw The Motorcycle Diaries, which is a film about the future Che Guevara and his friend taking a trip across South America on an old motorbike. Its a really magnificent film, funny, thought provoking and visually arresting.

I also re-watched Blade Runner, man I love that film.

i seen quantum too, i didnt like it as much as casino royale which i think was the best bond since goldeneye, i prefer the new edgy darker bond they are making, daniel criag is a fantastic bond. i was never big on the gadgets etc... so i dont miss them, i know they are very bond and the cheesy lines etc...... i just think its nice they are trying to refresh the series somewhat.

I think OK is an over statement, it was poor, the villain was useless, and amidst the screams in the final battle, some how they director tried to convince you that Bond could do anything but lose. Its seems like they have set it up for a third and concluding part, because if they were to leave it like this would surely be a travesty. Lots of hype, big budget, massive anti climax. Also I know Bond is entirely fiction but if Casino Royale is the precedent to go by how does (roughly) 35 year old man who was a public school boy, (and from the back story went into the marines) learn to, speak however many languages, learn so many types of close quarter combat styles, stay in awesome shape, learn to ride a motorcycle, car, fly a plane, boat, be amazing at poker, have all the technological know-how of a scientist and carry out missions? Does he find time to eat, sleep and poop?

Whatever he’s taking I’ll take two!

Well actualy he was a private school boy and a Commander in the RN(VR).
Quote:
Bond is the son of a Scottish father, Andrew Bond, of Glencoe, and a Swiss mother, Monique Delacroix, of the Canton de Vaud. The boy James Bond spends much of his early life abroad, becoming multilingual in German and French because of his father's being a Vickers armaments company representative. When his parents are killed in a mountain climbing accident in the Aiguilles Rouges near Chamonix, eleven-year-old James is orphaned.

After the death of his parents, he goes to live with his aunt, Miss Charmian Bond, in Pett Bottom village, where he completes his early education. Later, he briefly attends Eton College at "12 or thereabouts" (13 in Young Bond), but leaves after two halves because of girl trouble with a maid. He recounts losing his virginity at sixteen, on a first visit to Paris, in the short story "From a View to a Kill". Bond is removed from Eton and sent to Fettes College in Edinburgh, Scotland, his father's school. Bond lies about his age in order to enter the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, from which he emerges a Commander.

But yes, I do think they have strayed from the traditional Bond movies that have been so successful, in order to compete with the likes of Borne, which shouldn't be the case as Bond stand out on it's own quite well.
