I was watching the Liverpool Youth Team win the FA Youth Cup Final tonight and I heard the music they were playing. Not "You'll Never Walk Alone", not "We Are The Champions", but...THE STAR WARS THEME! Sorry lol, I just thought I'd post that   _______________ - Even if Carlsberg made "w*nkers", Christiano Ronaldo would still be the biggest "w*nker" in the world |

Well mate, I don't know. It's like, the football clubs bring in so much money, so obviously they can pay whatever they want and get away with it. Even if footballers earned 20,000 quid a year they'd still be millionaires because of endorsements and the like. Though I agree. I'm in a pretty dangerous job myself, especially if Britain goes to war, and i'm on roughly 15,000 a year, and I can't even go on strike. |

ok montee has a point about footballers being over paid but that is in the private sector its up to the clubs to throw that mutch money away if they want stuff like the real hero's e.g doctors paramedics and firemen get paid by the government and in the public sector this is taken from taxes and so if you want to increace the wages for these people you have to raise the taxes and as this is not popular and tends to get governments out of power few do it so you cant balame the footballers or even the club managers if you want to try to lay blame you should blame the facts that football clubs are private companies not part of the public secter _______________ [img]http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/co/type/0/silenthassassin.png[/img] |

People who should get alot of money are people like doctors and nurses and firemen and the police, these people earn their money yet have to go on strike due to low pay... its silly, firemen have the same if not more stamin and agility to footbsllers and risk their lives everyday sure its by choice and so is football so they know injuries can happen. Take my mums friend, just passed his paramedic exam and was driving up the a52 when a kid threw a brick off the bridge and it went through the windscreen and smacked him in the face, obviously the amubulance crashed .. no patient inside lckily but the guy has had to have 1 eye removed and cant work as a paramedic ever again... that could happen to anyone but kids seem to like going for vehicles with blue lights whether it be police fire or ambulence. The point im trying to make is its alot more dangerous in the real world than it is on a football pitch.. Pay the real heroes for there work and let the advertising pay the footballers wage. without advertising they are still overpaid easily but the advertising adds at lot to it i guess.. You can watch millions of dollars in guarranteed contracts strolling up and down the court.
