Well it wasnt flaming for one thing...second it DIDNT SAY "GENERAL DISCUSSION ABOUT THE HOLOCRON" but anyway I guess everyones touchy about this so I'll just not post here again. _______________ 4/20/2005----Left the academy because I did'nt feel welcomed. |

Credits are going up last just because they need to be at the end. When you update this thing, you can't move things. You have to delete them and then reput them. Kinda weird, but just thought it'd be a bit much to do that every time we want to add something new. It's slightly more complicated then that, but anyhoo... The old credits are still at Orion's hosting of the original. http://jaholocron.ryanmh.com/ I'm going to try my hardest to upload the rest of the original a week from Friday . It will definately be up that following week though, and probably some JK3 stuff if we have any.EDIT: We did actually try and contact all of the originals to see if they needed to update stuff for JK3 and whatnot. Ruuk, I'll send you an e-mail on the little scheme Exar composed with who's on what and the current-to-be layout .EDITEDIT: Sent it to gisjedi@hotmail.com because I was unsure of which e-mail to use. I'm going to wait a little bit before I go full speed with this. Fools rush in, right? In a bit, I'm going to find out who is onboard and what they are doing. Kind of like the original outline Underhill made for version 1. Once that's decided we should more or less start from scratch. We aren't updating the JK2 section much from now on(although we may be doing some editing) so a lot of the old threads are relatively unimportant. Also, I have a homework assignment for everyone. Read through the entire Holocron, cover to cover. MoS- Suggestion: take some time and go through the threads in the forum. Lots of people wanted to clean it up, and now might be a good time. But I'd still suggest doing a copy/paste of all the posts in each thread and saving them to a word file. (I'm a packrat...don't like to throw things out.) You may very well find that, although I scoured it myself, there was something that I missed...a suggestion, a key point, whatever. 'course, you do what you deem is appropriate. But either way, getting the forums cleaned up into ~10 nice easy-to-understand threads would help direct people as to where they need to post. -rh _______________ Back from the dead... Can I suggest a bulletpoint list of things to check if your .pk3 of a skin isn't working? I had to post on the forums until CM@D gave me help, as none of the tutorials or guides has such a troubleshooting section, and the majority of post about JKII skinning that I'veseen on the net have been of this variety. Things such as: 1 - Does the pk3 display the path \models\players\"yourname" ? 2 - Are all the .tga and .jpg files mentioned and pointed to correctly (path isn't reborn\torso.tga rather than khalek\torso.tga, LOL) in the model_default.skin file? 3 - Is your icon file named icon_default? 4 - TBA...LOL (correct these if wrong...) I know that some of these aren't the be all and end all (depends on where the .skin points you, for example) but they may help new skinners, and that's a worthy goal... *kinda huge bump* Is anyone interested in doing a single player section/walkthrough? I'm thinking tons of pictures, and step by step instructions for people who get stuck and frustrated. OK OK OK OK OK!!!! Damn, I'm off a little bit and the tail starts wagging... I just mentioned this to Aeth privately (before reading this forum) that we should publish the stinkin thing on our own site. Just link to it through the forum here. Seems like Cyb and I are on the same wavelength. The thing is already *done.* I built it already using Frontpage, and the index and links are already in place, so it should be ready for viewing if someone has server space. Post here and let me know, and I'll send you my zipped copy for you to put up. And yes, some people are still playing JK2. Also, keep in mind that a lot of what we've already done will transfer over to JK3. We'll be ADDING to the Holocron, not creating a whole new one. I'm sure many saber swings will be pretty much the same. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong and talking out of my arsehole.) Anyway: we're not done in the least bit.
