Question 1: Setup. Icco, send your info over to Mune to see how he can incorporate it into what he has written already. Mune, let me know what you think. Question 5: Slang. I like Halendor's idea. If you guys have places to go that would take care of this, then in NO WAY do I want to have to repeat it. Absolutely not. I just didn't know a lot of it myself, and thought it would be helpful. A few links to other dictionaries would be fine by me, along with special JA terms that aren't known by many people outside. (Thanks for the links, Cyb.) Is someone volunteering here? Halendor has already jumped on 8. Question 8: FAQ. I'm not happy with the FAQ the JA has right now. I don't believe it covers enough. Mune sent me his Question 1 text entitles "Jedi Outcast for Dummies" which should help answer some initial questions of how to get set up, etc. I will look at this further, edit, and pass it along to both of you, Halendor and Exar. Take a look at it. What I'm looking for is an FAQ that very well may provide links to information we have already written about. If this is the case, there will be no need to rewrite. Just put the link there, and the person will automatically go to the spot within the Holocron. HOWEVER, we may be missing some things. I don't know. I'd like you two to scour through the threads/posts for dumb (seemingly to us) noob questions. If we don't address these within the Holocron already, the FAQ should be a place to include the answers. I am going to assume that once we are done with our FAQ, it will replace the one the JA currently has. (I would assume, DJ, doobie, and other decision-makers, that this would not be something you'd have a problem with! : ) ) Does all that make more sense? Oh, and Halendor? No, I don't want you to answer questions about Star Wars. If someone needs to ask questions about this universe, they AREN'T WORTHY OF PLAYING THIS GAME.  Nah, you know I'm just kidding. Could you please find out who did an FAQ already then? It would be useless do to things twice. About section 5. I think the best way is to take the most used terms around this community (try the JA-bot IRC stats), AND include a link to a list that has been already made. |

Hmm.. I thought someone already made a FAQ.. and yeah the chat thingy doesnt really have to do with the JA, it is very useful ofcourse but tons of em are made already, maybe we should link to one of them or copy em (check for example these out: http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com/digest/glossary.jsp and http://www.012.net/pages/text/chatDictionary/chatDictionary.html (think the first one is some better)). I could of done the first section but the rest wouldnt really fit me I think. Should we get rid of section 5? Internet slang really has nothing to do with JK2 OR the Academy. I'm sure there are sites that have huge lists of terminology though. I'll try to work on part 8. I'll skim the Academy Forums for any questions that are related to this Jedi Academy and the Jedi Knight II game. I don't think its neccecary to also include questions concerning Star Wars, but if you want me to, I will. |

btw, Mune - I don't wanna set a date yet (again), 'cause I don't want to miss it (again). Things are progressing well, so that's ok. I've got another serious GIS project to do for the next week, so I'll be layin' a little low RE: working on my section of the Holocron. Just an FYI. The Holocron will be out soon, tho. o wait one other thing! MUNE this one is for you! Talk about what you do to install jk2. put in disk... talk about updating to 1.04 download file save in .... double click press ok and what not then install maps download this and extract to here(list where to get winzip) then skins repeat above keep going intill u have turned a JK2less machine into an uber $|_|P3R |337 g@/\/\i/\/g and J|<2ing machine. Translation. make it so an idiot can open the jedi knight 2: jedi outcast box and become a JA member with all of the servers and maps and skins available.(imean every server and map on the servers) dont forget that this is not something for the weak connected. ok well im almost done ruuk with my thing i call it # 1a (ooo boo yaa didnt c that one coming now did ya?) it involves other programs used to connect to Servers im doing ASE(all seeing eye) and gamespy. I would help but I can't think how any of that stuff would specifically apply to me, since the system has changed a bit since I joined, and I'm in no position to do the paddy master thing.
