Some of them have been brilliant. i was only angry at that nederlands vs portugal match. why? its not like the match is over and everything is over too. basically in next match portugal must get like... 1 yellow card to each player and... if they win they wont have any player to send in to court the match after  that seems ridicilous ,but i just wanted to say that it ruins the whole tournament not just particular matches. and thats why im angry  _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february. Listen, yes, the referee's give out too many cards but not that much. FIFA want to STAMP OUT diving, cheating, "simulation" etc. and to do that they need to give cards. The tackles in this tournament so far have been unbelieveable and are easily worthy of a card. Just because we don't give them in the domestic leagues doesn't mean they can't be used here. To be perfectly honest, when Graham Poll made that mistake I was on the floor. I swear, it was hillarious. But have you heard what people are doing? They're going to his house. Posting thing's through his lettbox etc. He had an interview with Sky Sports News today and he was nearly in tears because of what people have been saying about him over the last week and it's disgraceful. Leave the man alone. Is he not human like the rest of us? Who cares about the money and the fact that because of it, he shouldn't be making mistakes like that. It happened, get over it. Croatia were going out anyway. There was no advantage/disadvantage whatsoever. As a result, Poll has decided to quit International Refereeing. He'll still be doing it on club level. But guess what? If he hadn't have made that mistake, he would have been refereeing the World Cup Final no doubt. He is by far the best referee in the tournament but now, he's been sent home. Poll also said that when his Grandchildren are on his knee at home he can say "I could have refereed the World Cup Final". Doesn't that make you feel bad? The amount of disappointment the media have cast over him and his family is just plain wrong in my opinion. Oh, and by the way, yes, I agree that 16 yellows and 4 reds was harsh, but most of them WERE worthy of a card. There were high and late tackles flying EVERYWHERE in that game. Oh and what a surprise. Urs Mehir (The referee for England vs. Portugal in Euro 2004) has defended his Russion "counterpart". How ironic. I had something else to say but I've completely forgotten so I'll get back to it later. In conclusion, the point I'm trying to get across is that you've got to stop moaning at Graham. He made a mistake. Nothing bad came out of it. Yeah horrible refs. 20 cards in one game, 3 yellow cards to one player, horrible calls. But I hear those refs are out. FIFA doesn't like it either. _______________ make install -not war |
