Creating movie....demo changes camera angle...proper forum? | |

I used the cg_thirdpersoncameradamp option to make a cool demo. When I play the demo back to record it onto screenshots (I use QVM, not FRAPS), it changes the angle back! WTF!? Here I thought I created something cool and it changes it back....and I'm not sure how to get it back to the exact angle I had while I was recording the demo. Any ideas?? _______________ - Threat Ex-Unofficial Padawan of Rivian, AKA Chaos Ex-Unofficial Padawan of Phantom Owner of Grycen's 180th comment, Raydoe's 455th comment, and Rivian's EVIL 666th comment! |

Hehe, yeah, I had the same trouble with thirdpersoncameradamp, although I didn't try Masta's tip to redo all of my settings once the demo was loaded in. If it shouldn't work, maybe ask someone to go to spec and demo it for you. _______________ The name is Bond. James Bond. |

Yeah, I tried doing that with thirdpersoncameradamp. However, I could not recreate the angle that gave the scene its drama. Maybe I need to play with the other commands that set angle, distance, etc. That shouldn't change I don't think. _______________ - Threat Ex-Unofficial Padawan of Rivian, AKA Chaos Ex-Unofficial Padawan of Phantom Owner of Grycen's 180th comment, Raydoe's 455th comment, and Rivian's EVIL 666th comment! |

Uhm, after you start watching the demo, just open up the console and re-setup the custom settings etc. Im unsure if thirdpersoncameradamp works in demos though because i never had to use that one before. _______________ Find out more about the Jedi Academy Aurochs here and more about Masta here! Yeah, demos tend to do that. I wanted to record myself doing advancing scissors under different angels just to see what it looks like. When I played the demo back I had the same problem. Liso made a short 'movie' in Flash I think, a while ago. She used screenshots she'd made in-game for this. Think of it as a Stop-Motion technique. To quickly take a lot of screenies without the game displaying the 'writing screenshot 103' comment, use /screenshot silent instead. _______________ The name is Bond. James Bond. |
