However that does not change that in terms of star wars what i said is true, it is 'cannon' that force ghosts do not have to appear as they died. Well it was obvious he must die when they announced the Legacy series, but its interesting they have confirmed it so soon, perhaps Luke fans are in for a nasty shock in the Legacy Of the Force series of books?
