w00tw00t! :)

Picked mine up yesterday, and I was already amazed with the Weather channel, and today's new Internet channel is even more amazing ;)

I simply can't wait until someone make a StarWars game for the Wii. The precise controller is so much more civilized than gamepad or mouse.

wii to go :)

NexGen Wars.com has spent countless hours researching sales facts from dozens of sources to track the worldwide sales of the consoles and monitor the next generation of console wars between the Microsoft Xbox 360, the Sony Playstation 3, and the Nintendo Wii. Remember, these numbers are only estimates, but they are constantly monitored and updated to assure the closest estimates possible for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Wii.

It's at the bottom of the site.

I know and I read that. I also know that in the past hour the number of wii's sold have gone up 1,000 units. It just seems more like some calculation estimate, that might not really be corresponding to actual sale data.

Ahh, I see your point.

I'd really like to know how that website is calculating their numbers.

Huzzah!

Wii has broken 1,000,000 consoles! At this rate they might even catch up with the 360.

How about the X-box 360 advertising their wireless controllers as some form of next generation thing and the next generation being now. Real cutting edge, since I've got a wireless nintendo wavebird controller for my gamecube sitting on a table.

lol thats typical, likewise i've been using a wavebird for ages as well. Seem to remember Sony tried that with the rumble feature, despite it being pioneerd by nintendo on the 64, when Song released it dual shock pad, they claimed the rumble feature was brand new.

Interesting sales figures, seems to Wii is doing well, hope Nintendo keep it like this.

It does seem like Nintendo have got the hang of advertising their console this time. A lot of hype has built over the Wii in the months leading up to its release, don't know how well its selling, and its not out in europe yet, but looks like they have done a good job.

In the US, it sold 400,000 units ON THE FIRST DAY. Now THAT's awesome if I've ever heard one. W00t for the Wii!

impressive figure - but check how many people live in the US :P

I also think Nintendo has a much better ad campaign. They actually have people playing the games and you can clearly see the games they are playing. PS3 has these commercials where its sitting in a white room, and has some object in it, and it is very rare that you see any game footage.

Deposit and full payment has now been taken for my Wii.

Might see how much more I have to give for them to change the name of the console to Revolution.

Never more will I fear telling my girlfriend that I'm playing with my Wii, would she like to come over.

It's awesome I think it totally beats Ocarina of Time as the best Zelda game.

I've heard a few reviewers saying the same, regardless of whether it is better or not, i can already tell its going to be one hell of a game.

In fact I'll probably post my thoughts on how TP and OoT compare around chrimbo, i'll have played them both pretty much one after the other after all.

I look forward to the next Zelda game, built for the Wii from the ground up.

Yeah from what i have heard about TP, if Nintendo get the next one right, it will pretty much blow every other game in its genre out of the water. A lot of praise has been going for how it plays on the Wii.

I don't know about that, but yes it is definitely a great game and a long one. The speaker on the controller is a good addition I think. I look forward to the next Zelda game, built for the Wii from the ground up.

The Wii is very nice. Played on my friend's a couple of days ago. We played some Wiisports, Tennis and Boxing mostly. Boxing got me sore pretty well lol. We went on to play Rayman Raving Rabbids, a party game. The mini-games took advantage of the Wii technology, reminding me of playing in an arcade with lots of different games.

Think I'll be visiting my friends more often >_>

The more i hear about the thing, the more appealing it sounds!

Hmm Nintentdo win?

Any feedback from anyone who has played the new zelda would be cool, no spoilers, just how the game compares to the last three GC/N64 titles really. Its confirmed Twilight Princess is coming to the GC on the 15th of December by the way. I've started replaying OoT in preperation.

Something called "Wii Health Pack" in there, that could be your workout game.

It's also quite a workout too, the next day my arm was really sore.

No longer will the stereotype be a fat gamer sitting on the couch eating potato chips off his greasy chest. We shall have the WiiWorkout! Screw WeightWatchers, here comes the Wii! :P

Right, so anyone else here think that they are going to have a workout game for the Wii at some point?

It's highly likely.

Perhaps get a pad similar to the old power pad or the ddr system.
