Talk about talent... in this day and age? That makes me smile.
When people listen to made singers and bands? Those can hardly be called songs. Every new 'artist' ripps off others, all you have now is bunch of remixes. But still, a lot of people like that. You do not have to be one, it is up to you what you listen to and what you like. I have to say that I flat out hated it.
Musicaly I never digged the neo/soft metal scene. And Disturbed is one of the front runners of that whole thing. The old Genesis tune just had much more class. Politicaly I agree with the general opinion. Bands like this usually have vastly too much say in things due to their trade. Not that I agree with the war in Iraq. My opinions on that I keep to myself. But the way things are shown in this video is just silly in so many ways. Again, compared to the original meaning Genesis had with their video, this looks like a pale copy. Final verdict - This is the type of song that would make me switch radiostations for about 4 minutes. - HW - HW _______________ ::Nothing wrong with a little shooting.....as long as the right people get shot:: |

Well said. Not all americans are idiots, in fact the bigest brains are there (most of them from other countries but still). With so many people in a country it's just natural to have a lot of idiots. I like it, for sheer entertainment value.
One thing though, if you are someone that gives weight to the political opinons of entertainers then you might be disillusioned. Just maybe!! Singers and Bands are probably the worst of all entertainers when it comes to politics because they have a much bigger soap box to stand on, they typically tour the world spreading their nonsense, and mostly kids listen to them just adding to juvenile misinformation. In comparison, I like the original better. While the anime is great, I dig puppets. My main issue with it is that Genesis sang this song as if they ment it. Disturbed is hopping on the 'covering cool old songs with a new edgy feel' bandwagon. I don't have a problem with that. I'm a sucker for cover songs, but I don't think Disturbed is making quite the political statement that Phil Collins was. If you haven't seen it go find the original Land of Confusion video. I think you'll like it a lot more. That movie scared the HELL out of me as a kid.

The original was better and I'm not even a fan of it. Typical American paranoia, if you watch, it has the leaders of US, France, Russia, UK and Japan all arguing amongst themselves (Too many men, too many people, Making too many problems. hence the land of confusion), while big corporations (the big fat guy) and the mighty dollar (pound, yen, ruble, etc) take over the world and there's no-one to stop it except us, the people, it's saying it's up to us to make a difference, (This is the world we live in, And these are the hands we're given, Use them and let's start trying, To make it a place worth living in) we cant rely on others to fix the world all the time (Oh Superman where are you now, Everything's gone wrong somehow, The men of steel, men of power, Are losing control by the hour). Well that what I got from it maybe I looked at it more objectively, you Americans are to hard on yourselves, not everyone hates you. I hope you don't get the wrong idea from this it's not a flame etc just an observation. Peace out  Watch the original version's video by Genesis.
