hey guys, a little while ago when i tried to turn on my computer, my TFT monitor wasn't receivng any signal input. So, i fiddled around withthe wires abit but that didnt help, i also switched the socket my monitor was plugged into, also didnt help. So basicly im wondering if something in my moinitors suddenly broken, or its maybe a faulty connection to the video card or if the video card itself has gone bust.
so basicly:
The moinitor is receiving power but isnt receivng any input from the computer.
I would appreciate any help and/or ideas you guys have
thanks in advance,
mini.
Edit: btw, im on my parents old computer now, and its terribly rubbish :( but im gonna go plug this monitor in, and hopefully that will tell me if its the computer of the monitor thats the problem.
edit 2: hm, so after using a different monitor and a different wire, socket and adapter, the other monitor couldnt get any input signal. So am i right in thinking that this is pointing towards a broken video card?

Open your system and make sure everything is plugged in the right place nice and tight. Find an old PCI video card and see if you get a signal from that. Maybe your vid card is toast. :(

Have you shut off the other computer and restarted it? I've had it happen before where the monitor turns on but receives no information, no matter what I try. Restarting the computer fixes it.

And if you're not getting any output to the monitor even when you switch it to a new one, then yeah I would say that's the video card.
