The game is horribly buggy, but far less than NWN was originally i can second that.
What i don't get is why the game is such a big performance hog. I always thought oblivion looked better, but it has far higher requirements. But whatever, it's a kick ass game _______________ "this is Icco. Icco is old. Icco is lost. Icco is cool, but Icco doesn't know what the meaning of 'macrophageal sex'." - Vaughn /Icco |

NWN2 is brilliant, if you are really going ot complain about a "buggy" game, go buy gothic 3. NWN 2 is a fabulous game and has a lot of re-play appeal _______________ I was a child when I joined the JA...scary. |

Quite a shame for a title of this magnitude though.
as far as i know nwn1 was even buggier, when it was released. Truth. I couldn't run NWN1 for longer than 5 minutes when it was first released. _______________ slorp |

I agree about the game being full of bugs. Most of the ones i encountered weren't severe per se, but still pretty annoying. However, i did come across a few game-breaking ones aswell which is just very disappointing imo. Makes you wonder if some dev's ever beta-test their games anymore.
Disregarding the stability issues, the performance issues, and the overall out-dated game engine, NWN2 was a decently entertaining game though. But yeah, releasing unfinished or broken pc games seems to be the norm nowadays, so im not really suprised to see NWN2 so buggy. Quite a shame for a title of this magnitude though. _______________ Find out more about the Jedi Academy Aurochs here and more about Masta here! Married to Kain. |

The people on the forums do not represent the Neverwinter Nights 2 community as whole. The people on the forums are just sloppy and gross weirdos who can only complain while everybody else is actually playing the game. I'm on the third act right now, and I've yet to encounter any game-breaking bugs. There were a few occasions that dialogues failed to start which resulted in me having to load a save game. But that's why you save all the time, l0z3rrrz. Quote: 1. if you really want to play online - there is not a single serious module made for nwn2.
The toolset is much more complex than the last one. Just because the community hasn't whipped up any modules yet doesn't mean that the game's not worth buying. The campaign is awesome. Quote: 2. game is still full of bugs... thats what ppl in nwn2 forums say.
Not nearly as many bugs as KOTOR2 had. Quote: At least not outside the bug where buffs will become permanent every now and then.
The buffs don't become permanent. Like, for example, my character got poisoned. The debuff faded but the graphic was still there. It disappeared once I went through an area transition. Quote: There's also the occasional bug that puts all your group into god-mode.
It happened once or twice so far. It doesn't last longer than 10 minutes. Quote: Then there are the times when your game locks up (which happens roughly every 5-10 minutes for some people with patch 1.02)
Notice the "some." I have a fair computer (for NWN2 standards.) I only have 512 MB RAM and the game's crashed only a few times - when loading a save game. Quote: It's awesome having a completely playable game. NWN2, though, isn't.
I find it strange that I am completely capable of playing an unplayable game. Actually, the buffs become permanent. When you have a +3 halberd that hits for fire damage well after the spell expired, that's called a "bug". When you can stand there and let the enemy beat on you relentlessly and take 0 damage, that's called a "bug". When you have to use console commands to fix the game, that's called a buggy game. Fact: NWN2's a buggy game. |
