Hope there isn't already a thread about this... has anyone else been watching this show? Just watched the first 11 episodes and I think it's freaken awesome; plot, characters, super powers - all of it. I'm hearing Season 1 continues this Monday. Just a question of 'When will Peter get his power back?' i'm guessing. You could tell that Peter really misses having powers though I thought. Telling the Haitian to wait.
Hiro is gonna be ok, like I said i'm not really fussed on him. He was actually better as a 10 year old, he went from being jovial to a miserable git. Sylar is awesome though, I have to admit I didnt like him originally, but now he's come into his own. _______________ <MaherSenatu> guh... you are just... I thought the last episode was pretty decent.
As for the Haitian scene, it was not filler in my opinion. Peter and Nathan developed as characters. We see Peter coming to terms with his powerless self, and still managing to be useful without them. Nathan also acknowledges Peter as being right for once. Probably the most important consequence of that scene was Nathan coming to the realization that giving powers to normal people may help the world get rid of people like the Haitian's bro. He makes the decision to help his father with the formula. I knew Elle wouldn't last long hanging around with Sylar. However, her interaction with him helped Sylar cope with the "hunger" until he got his powers back after the Eclipse. I believe Mohinder was still mutating while in the Pinehurst lab. Maybe not as rapidly as before, but he was still progressing towards becoming the monster. The comic book store scenes were my favorite. Seth Green as a guest star was rather cool. I wonder what will play out for that last comic that Isaac gave away. Perhaps Ando and Parkman will look for it, or wait for Hiro to return with his memories returned. Peter will probably get his original power back because of the eclipse and just have to start going around collecting them up again. Big whoop! Elle, bless her, shes dead. I feel bad, next to claire she was the second hottest woman on the show now maya ha gone. But seen as we've seen the future with Peter you have to assume that most of this crap has happened before. And slowly but surely the story line well get back to normal. Also what the hell as Nathan doing. What an Idiot! As for the Haitian, that truely is a plot filler. Although i did anjoy Hiro wizzing about the place moving people around, Im guessing because he has the mental age of a 10 year old he hasn't realised all the crap that goes down when he messes with time and space. Anyway, only 2 more episodes before the break, so they better be good, because I wanna see Arthur get his ass handed to him! _______________ <MaherSenatu> guh... you are just... HRG was always the best.
except when he was 'you know i want to protect you at all costs' thing that got kinda repetitive at one point of the series. why lame? what was the point of eclipse really? to everyone go mad and kill each other? then again they can heal their wounds. the whole haitian thing in the jungle. true example of a filler in tv series. HRG cutting sylars throat? that looked good. but when such cool things mean absolutely nothing in the end... Hiro is cool. he was always solid character. the writers themselves sometimes do shit with his story tho. peter lost his powers. its no problem tbh. arthur was gathering the bad guys etc, but they really stalled all that shit. its like they go with storylines untill they go real badass and cool and then stall. elle... they tried to make her look important. sort of main-character-like. it never looked that way tho. and she died... well yeah she was cute and stuff, but seriously she could have died ages ago and no one would have noticed or give a shit. they can go and kill all the secondary characters etc, but its only interesting if main chars are involved in the twists. oh btw... global eclipse isnt possible. im not into all that realistic crap, but that was idiotic. also since the moon moves from left to right... how the hell at one point AFTER THE FULL ECLIPSE there was a 'gap for sunlight' at the RIGHT side of eclipse? it would mean that moon would move from left to right , form the full eclipse and then go back to the left again... im not sure how the hell would that happen in real life... i loved how heroes were sort of realistic in most of ways except the people having powers. things with eclipse turns this into fantasy show. _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february. Lol u guys are crazy. The eclipse part2 is like the best episode ever. It really gave me back te old season one feeling.
At last the episodes are going back ON TRACK. Which is partly due that the writer "Aron Eli Coleite" from season's 1 best episode "Six months ago" is back as a writer on heroes because his own show has been cancelled (Pushing daisy's). Seriously, its like with every week they get better and better. How did u not enjoy HRG going all badass on Sylar and Elle. Even though he hasen't any powers, he's still like the most gangsta character on the show. How Hiro and Ando go back to their old roots. The comicbook scéne was just great. When Sylar was about to slit HRG's throat and Hiro teleports in and is like "BAD MAN", alastavista Sylar. Cya later Elle! It was done in such a awesome way, Hiro who's finaly using his full potential again. I LUB HEROES SO MUCH AGAIN |

It's not that hard to follow, but as SaZ said, the story line seems to be in fragments at the moment, as if the writers as still undecided with which direction they want to take it in, or just how many more series they want out of the show. I was dssapointed by the whole thing. Because the series is so long (either 24 or 26 episodes) Its seems like they are padding out episodes with rubbish, just to hit the 40 minute mark. Peter obviously gets his powers back, The Haitian obviously comes into play so they can either stop or slow down Arthur. Angela, although at the moment hates Arthur, also still loves him, and we all know he still loves her because he let her go. The eclipse is more than likely going to give people either thier powers back, or the prohibit the people with powers from using them. Although I hope something relatively good happens to compensate for the recently lacking storyline. Claire on the other hand,
"I think im the catalyst..." I didnt really think this show could become any more predictable. Clearly I was wrong. I would liek to stop watching it, but having watched every episode so far it I find myself compelled to watch the next episodes, to find out what will happen next. Although as Solitude pointed out yesterday on the IRC, the plot line is becoming more and more plagerised. Although, I may be entirely wrong. so what? he still experienced two eclipses, even tho he cheated in a way. also. there wasnt an eclipse before the one that happened in season 1. then how the hell did the 'circle of parents' (lol - angela, arthur, parkmans father etc) get their powers without an eclipse? why didnt they lose their powers when the season 1 eclipse happened? i think it means eclipse has some sort of other effect. maybe it amplifies or weakens certain powers... probably those who are destined to have powers will get them sooner than in natural way. im thinking that peter and maya will regain their abilities. that i understand. hmm maybe he didnt take power, because he had it already? he teleported to africa and back anyway. maybe... he cant take the same power twice. which might be an advantage for our heroes in future. what i meant by lame is that hiro went through so much only to get his memory wiped? it was a disappointment really. i expected that to twist the main storyline somehow. Hiro went back in time. Adam got his powers around the time of the Eclipse in the past.
Hiro is a 10-year old pretty much because Mr. Petrelli was deleting his memories (not sure why he didnt take his power too, either way, Mr. Petrelli has it). Not really sure how Claire turned out being the catalyst. that sux! also how the hell did the pain go away for El ? hiro 10y old? oh ffs.. the writers are probably desperate and didnt know how to continue that part of the story. its like hiro goes through so much trouble to see things and then BOOM.
