1. its classic 2. there shapes were original and still are 3. they sound good 4. born for distortion 5. I got myself a platinum series bcrich Jr-V and it pwns Open to discussion, I hope theres enough guitar/bass players here _______________ -JARHOK BELOUVE- Unofficial Paddy to the great Squibit Belouve and Solitudes snog machine! |||||||||||||||||||||||PRONOUNCED JARHOK TEH S3X3H by Alexander D'kana||||||||||||||||||||||||| Loves Liso'sia! Played an Ibanez S series in the guitar shop, I work on saturdays in today, was pretty awesome for a guitar that is a relatively low price point, with BCrich really depends on which guitar, I played some expensive average BCR's but my JR-V really is awesome, the neck is just the right scale, everything is just right so confortable and easy to play, then again its all opinion. But yeh Ibanez, phwoar they know how to make consistently good guitars, though they're designed by Cort except for special Ibanez exclu parts like their bridges (zr bridge etc) But yeh nice stuff _______________ -JARHOK BELOUVE- Unofficial Paddy to the great Squibit Belouve and Solitudes snog machine! |||||||||||||||||||||||PRONOUNCED JARHOK TEH S3X3H by Alexander D'kana||||||||||||||||||||||||| Loves Liso'sia! Quote: As for myself, i'd take Fender Stratocaster
Silly Iron Maiden fan. omg up teh ironz!11 But seriously the Yngwie Malmsteen Strat.. my god almighty its like a completely different instrument! That scalloped fretboard is amaaazing though, and the tone of the stacked humbuckers and stuff is immense. Not very easy to play, though. |

Ive been using an ibanez GSA and it's ok for what it is - a starter guitar. But for metal I say ibanez RG all the way This comment was edited by Ventrel on Feb 26 2007 10:39am. |

I'd go with an Ibanez or a Gibson. BC Rich looks neat, but I consider them 'gimmick' guitars. I don't play metal, but my primary guitar is an Ibanez Artcore AF75T _______________ My car is made of Nerf. |

BC Rich are built to look pretty and play anything that involves maximum gain, scooped mids, etc. Even then, it sucks.
Ibanez are godly purely based on versatility. They can play anything, and the RG series guitars in particular are great for metal shredding. ESP are great if you're into active pick-ups, and want to invest a little bit more into your metal axe. Not that far behind Ibanez, but still lack the versatility. Jackson used to rule, until Fender bought them out. Now, they're not that great. That 24 fret RR looks awesome though. |
