Hey everybody. I'm just asking as a hypothetical...if someone were to build an alternative map to v3 (as awesome as it is), what would you want to see in it and why?

Definitely. I mean, I love the Yavin theme, especially for Virtue's maps, because he uses the textures so well with the architecture, it's amazing. However, straying away from that theme would certainly be a nice change.

I love Virtue's maps with all my heart but I also like the original Academy, that is in the JK games. You know, the one with the hanger and all. i think it should be based on Coruscant and almost like the Jedi Temple on Ep1-2-3. Make sure you use the same type of buildings  Spawn points would be outside, starting next to a fountain and then you would have to walk some stairs to get to the entrance (could be the archives). I would keep the 3 dueling rooms but instead, i would put them all in the same room, maybe divised by a little wall that we can walk next to it to change of mat. you remember the scene in Ep2 where Obi-Wan is trying to find Kamino and he goes to see Yoda while training younglings in a room? it would be a good idea of room to do to spawn sentry npcs. an hall of honoraries (like in academy_v3 with Vlad's memorial) would be good to lead to the council's room.

NPC spawning, single saber with selectable saber styles, and of course the other two saber types as well, but in addition to NPC's with sabers, how bout some with guns to practice out gunning skills on
(this idea is what I have in mind for a map but... I am going to be a while in the making as I am just learning to map ) |

Yeah Saz is right, they were all in use last time i was on the server. All three, the pit, the grove, AND the classroom in fact.
Yeah i was going to say a fountain lol. A huge stature of Virtue Maybe in the fountain hah.
