Stalker is pretty good considering it was made by a smaller company. Even if it was developed for a while, it goes beyond what I would expect from it. Considering that most games that are innovative tend to be trial and error until a good one comes out, stalker is good. I found it boring, but that doesn't mean it's not a good game. _______________ "Deos fortioribus adesse." |

Well, i think the game is pretty decent. You don't get to see as that many massive open-world fallout-theme'd FPS-RPG's nowadays. The visuals are alright - even though the lack of certain pixel shader functions make the game seem rather sub-standard, the huge outdoor world and the rather innovative full-scale dynamic lightning make up for that one.
But yeah, if you overlook the generic and repetitive sub-quests, the overall bad performance, the completely useless melee-weapons, lacking AI, lacking variation of the enemies at the beginning, and a generally very slow start with weapons that make you feel like you're shooting hard-rubber bullets, then it's actually an enjoyable game.
