Saddam Hussein got 12 years until we took him off his throne. I think our guys deserve at least those 12 years to fix the country.
And beyond that, people have *died* for this cause. Others have been rendered disabled, and scarred for life mentally. That alone would convince me to keep this fight going, and secure victory and create a stable Iraq. It's a lofty goal, and it still remains to be seen if it'll be achieved, but for the love of God every little bit of effort is gonna be put into it. |

Smile Empty Soul - This is War
First some blatant advertising for my favourite band and then my opinion. My opinion is that the war should never have been started in the first place but as it now is where it is i only see 2 choices. 1: Stay until there is a functioning goverment which has ample resources which should be donated from america since a war usually drains a country's resources enormusly. Secondly after this is done there should be no american presence or control more than a peace keeping force and that is only until the major agressions stop. Also while the troops are there they should be given every funding, possible ample equipment = less deaths. 2: Seconcd choice would be a early withdrawal which would save a massive amount of american soldiers but at the cost of a less stable irac. Even at this i believe america should still donate funds so that the goverment has more than enough resources also once again no american presence more than a very small peace force that can keep major cities and terrorist targets safe. America should not control any section no matter how small of irac once it has a functioning goverment again.
