So I just watched Transformers with a huge group of friends, came home, had dinner and attempted to collect myself. So now that I'm well fed, well energised and, well, READY TO ROCK YO WORLD... I'd like to announce to you all that it is one of the
GREATEST MOVIES EEEEEEEVVVVVVEEEEEEERRRRRRR Holy fricken* shit it OWNS SO HARD WATCH IT NOW I'll add a little bit more about it though. It's really not for you if you're not into NON-STOP ACTION and repetitive transformations and fighting scenes. I've heard of reviewers saying that this movie really brings out the action loving boy in every man and is really not for girls. But I reckon pretty much anyone that used to watch transformers will love this movie - heck, even those that didn't. Besides, one of my friends who is a guy said it went an hour longer than it should have and wasn't all too pleased with the movie. And don't get me wrong.. it has its fair share of cheesy lines, kinda stupid plot holes, and some scenes that just make you go 'dude, what the hell?' The movie is just such a fierce onslaught though that they don't really give you the time to mull it over in your mind as you're watching. All in all, this is my favourite movie of the year by FAR and I 100% recommend it to anyone who loves a good action movie. It was Spielberg produced and the FX were done by ILM. The need for hiding isn't necessary. But it likely helped a lot on the budget for the movie being only $150 million. Apparently that's a michael bay trademark for action sequences. And its about my only complaint. Its also about the only criticism from the critics I agree with. It would have been nice to see the robots fighting from a perspective like you weren't standing 3 feet away from them. Good movie otherwise, nice use of humor and action. a very good and entertaining movie , but like with every movie there were some flaws. unfortunately in this one they were quite annoying.
1. the main human Sam was kinda lame. i think they could have got much better actor. 2. a jumpy storyline, without any center in it. 3. almost all action scenes look like camera man is avoiding to get a good shot of the action. for example some transformer transforms and all you see is some point blank shot. id rather see everything from afar. action scene means, you wont get a good look at it - the camera will shake , some bomb will explode right before your eyes so you cant see a thing. hmmmmm everything to make special effects specialists work easier. id say 300 was better. _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february. Movie was rather nice, best this summer for me
Cool special effects and transformations. Almost any scene with Mr. Optimus Prime in it was very well done. Acting was ok, but that is usually normal for any action-based movie. Just for confirmation... there are only 3 bonus scenes during the credits correct? Finally saw it, that movie rocked. I was never a huge fan of the cartoons, but I must say that I am much more than pleasantly surprised. It's the best big blockbuster movie I've seen yet. Though I still haven't seen Live Free or Die Hard, Ocean's 13, and Harry Potter when it comes out. As good as all of those look though, I don't think any will be as good as Transformers, that movie blew my mind. |

I was really pleasantly surprised by this movie. Pretty cool and not cheesy as I expected. It also didnt take itself overly seriously which is good considering its about alien robots and all.. |
