Hello all,
I did some searching throughout the threads to see if anything of the like had been posted previously and it looks like nothing has been. Here's the skinny... I played Blue for the original Gameboy back in '99 when it started to get hot. I liked the game but after completing it, got out of it and really didn't play much of any of the other games (Gold/Silver/Crystal(Gameboy), Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald(GBA)). Recently this year I picked up one of those new DS Lites and in April when Diamond/Pearl were released for it, I decided to jump on board and try it out again. I'm having fun with it, I like what's available and although they keep the simple formula of an advanced rock/paper/scissor creature beat-em-up, I like it. My friend picked up Pearl and I picked up Diamond. He's cruising pretty steadily through the game whereas I am taking my time (although I know the goal is to ultimately beat the game and allow one's self to try and collect ALL of them and not just the 150 provided in the game). I have other thoughts and opinions but I figure I post this out there to see if A) Anyone in the JA is playing the game, B) If you are playing and would like to chat more about it to leave a note here on this thread or on my profile, and C) Consider doing some trading via the game's provided Wi-Fi Club. I play the game for the Wii as well that just came out, Pokemon Battle Revolution, the 2D to 3D translation is cool to see and the capabilities of transferring data from the DS to the Wii is pretty cool too. My girlfriend bought me a new DS Lite on Thursday with Pokemon Diamond and Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix. Potter sucks, but the new pokemon is awesome!! I love the new 3D look and the new features and interaction. Im wondering if its possible to get Mew (my favourite pokemon!) _______________ I was a child when I joined the JA...scary. |

I played Red, Yellow and Silver on my GameBoy Color. The next versions where all GBA only, so I was stuck with replaying the versions I had. I really wanted to play the new versions at the time, as I loved the game, my Pokemon interest has faded since than though.
I'd probably play it again if I could get my hands on one, even if it's just for old times sake, but I doubt that'll happen. |

I have played at least one from each generation of games. I have beaten Diamond, but I don't have my DS at the moment and can't play. I have a closet interest in pokemon games.
Have played to buggery all of them lol. Either way, im currently digging into Pearl when i get the time. Its slow progress, but being the umpteenth time through a pokemon game for me, im getting a little phobic of small square sprites of grass... Dudeladudeladudela.. I was bored about six months or so and... "acquired" the games from red and blue all the way up to the ones before diamond and pearl for the PC. I haven't touched them since about a month after "acquiring" them, but I have them on my hard drive, somewhere. I believe Raydoe_Mintaka got either diamond or pearl, so you could try contacting him.

Pokemon Stadium (Red, Blue and Yellow), Pokemon Stadium 2 (Gold and Silver) and Pokemon Snap all used 3D graphics aswell.

Reminds me greatly of the n64 system which allowed for similiar functionality. I used to play it, alongside with the red version of the '99 gb game, but similiar to yourself, i didn't pick up any of the games ever since.
