This is the page.
Edit: May 2008 -- New Player's Handbook June 2008 -- New Monster Manual July 2008 -- New DM's Guide The biggest change is this: D&D is going to have a webpage (www.dndinsider.com). When you buy a book, you can register the book on the webpage. When you register the book, you gain access to its content through their webpage (although I think they said there may be a monthly fee). You can make characters and store them on the D&D Insider webpage. You can make adventures and store them on the D&D Inside webpage. You can then play D&D online in a 3d turn-based environment created by a DM (from what I gathered, you could technically pug a D&D session). It will be entirely voice-chat, no text chat. There will be no rules built directly into the online software, it will be up to the DM to moderate and enforce rules (which is a good thing for those of you who like using house rules). I wonder if D&D 4.0 has anything in common with the recently releasd Star Wars Saga Edition RPG, also released by Wizards. If it does, this is very good news. |
