Wii Star Wars: More Rumors | |

Quote: The ultimate geek-fantasy of using the Wii-mote as a lightsaber in a Star Wars game could be closer than we think if the latest comments to surface from Activision’s Activate Asia Pacific conference are to be believed. During a demonstration of its upcoming LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga for Wii, LucasArts’ Mark Montuya commented today that the game’s motion-sensitive lightsaber action is “just a taster” for a future release involving motion-sensitive lightsaber combat.
Joy! The statement implies that LucasArts is already hard at work on what Star Wars fanatics have been crying out for since seeing the Wii’s motion-sensitive controls for the first time: a game involving lightsabers. Heck, the Wii-mote even looks a little like a lightsaber, albeit a clunky Yoda-sized one. Montuya wouldn’t elaborate any further on how it would work in-game, nor address the obvious question of how to portray lightsabers impacting against each other with the interface; but we’re happy just knowing that somehow, at some stage, it’s going to happen. maybe if they made a special harness to go around your wrist so you couldn't let go and let if fly into the television. and like the game wouldn't play if you didn't have it on or something. that would actually be a pretty hard game to design if you think about it. perhaps if they developed a weighted attachment for if you got blocked, it would like throw the remote a little. I don't know.... _______________ none This comment was edited by none on Jul 09 2008 06:06am. |

The game will be released but Nintendo wont sign off on the Saber remote due to safety and issues among others. _______________ *CLICKEH->Never risk the Fett Man|*Download my Saber here. Quote: I wonder how deflecting blaster shots would work; make them really slow, computer assisted aim, who knows. Hopefully any attempt at a sword fighting game will be well thought through and not rushed.
Brobably slow them down other than that no idea |

Quote: Red steel's sword play was good, but it was a bit unbalanced. I could swing wildly and do the same move over and over again. As for the blaster shot thing, Wii sports baseball game. Just swing the remote like that lol
Dude it was horrible |
