What gets me about those blasted things is that the original idea of a chain letter was to send one to a friend asking to send it on and see how many people it would go to before it got back to the person that created it or something.
Now its turned into some kind of murderous death threat letter of doom. Wherein your entire family, loved ones and their dogs will all die horrible HORRIBLE deaths. Not to mention the love of your life will randomly come into your life just to spit on your shoe, smack you in the face and manually inject tranquilizer into your self esteem if you don't respond in 30 SECONDS!??!?!? No offense, but you'd be feeling pretty fudged if you believed in all that. I don't understand at all why people are so stupid to send them to other people. I have received tons of chain letters in my life and i never sent one to anybody. I have to say that those make me laugh for a while. Like the one that said that you would have to pay for MSN now but if you send it to 15 persons, you wont have to pay. Heh? I never sent any of those and after 1 year, i'm not paying to access MSN? There was also one that i had to give my credit card number to help a woman who lost her husband to transfer some money to her account. People who start those seriously have no life. For the poll, are you asking if you are retarded or if chain letters are retarded.
Anyways, I am not superstitious so I don't believe in chain letters. However, because I don't like taking risks, I tend to change the screen as soon as I read words that indicate a chain letter. |
