I heard that a wireless router can cause problems with Creating a Game and Broadcasting it. I think that may be my problem. What do I need t do so my freinds and I can play Multiplayer over the internet. Oh, does running JA+Mod v2.3 make anything different in this?
Any help apreciated, thanks!

It is probably the most popular mod; there must be a reason for it's popularity. From what I can tell, people use the glitches as a part of the normal gameplay. Kinda like how a lot of jka uses saber glitches as their normal style!

To stay on topic.... how's that port forwarding working out for you?

Wireless anything isn't practical for anything to do with gaming.

Wireless has spikes every 3-5 minutes depending on the router/modem which is likely to be bad for game clients if your hosting a game server through it as they would lag also if not more.

If possible switch to a regular modem or router via a RJ45 (Ethernet) connection.
If you continue to use any kind of router be aware that you will have to forward your ports.

P.S -
JA+ really does suck, don't use it. If you really need to use a mod use JAE.

JA+ Does suck, horridly., Glitchy game good for nothing else but Rping, and maybe random 'lets spawn everything and blow shit up with useless lightsaber holders' games. But try running it on base to begin once, once you have that base game up you can add modds etc. saves alot of bother .

And i'm not aware of any serious trouble a wireless router can give a host.. although i never tried. I'll look into it and post again.

Port Forwarding Guides

That site contains all the ports you need open for your router/gateway and by model number. All of the guides have screenshots to accompany them.

If you still have trouble afterwards don't be afraid to ask again. :)

Not sure, but forwarding a port is what people with routers usually do. It's a fairly common problem and that's what most people recommend you do.

My DSL is running through my Linksys Gaming Router first (so my wife can use her laptop like a bandwith vampire), and then from the Router to my Desktop PC. Is there an IP address in my Router different from my PC IP address? If so is it the reason why I cant host a game? Please, forgive my Noobieness.

If you're trying to host a server whilst on a wireless connection then you might need to forward a port on your router. I've never done that so I can't help you on that, but there are plenty of web pages that offers help in that area.

You should be able to play on the connection though. If that's the issue, then it's probably a firewall.

Try just useing Base, JA+ sux also make sure you have port 29070 (or what ever port your useing) in your firewall open as well. There's probably more but I'm tired right now, I'm sure someone else will be along soon if you need more help. ;)
