p.s. sorry johauna, i did not know you were a jedi Well, I have been Jedi realist since 2003 - and many people I had chance to meet there were people mature, looking into Jedi philosophy and applying some aspects in RL. Many of these people are interested in meditations and other esoteric branches. But since religion (and Jedi is not a religion, we don't worship anything or anyone) and these things are rather conflicting, I am not going to write more about that subject. Just wanted to clarify. PS: I don't study on this Academy site. Been learning on other website. Just felt need to say that laughing at these people was not really tolerant nor nice. I left a harmless, non-specific comment regarding the website. I placed Jedi down on my census as well. I was merely commenting on how these people went one step further.
Yes they are power-nerds.. this is fact. I know for I believe myself to be one too. The "Elitest" remark was because they are.. they appear to want far too much from one person just so they may join their community of "Jedi" - That may very well be just great big ol' SW fans. Its harder than getting into university. They have set a very high standard.. One that they themselves have of course "met", and in the hopes of filtering out all the "wannabes" and the non-superhuman, they will only accept an application in the form of an essay. I do not think I would have had so much fun at TJA if my application form felt like I was applying for NASA. There is nothing wrong with high standards and as far as I know it may be a very nice community filled with really great people. It was merely my opinion and first impression of what appears to be a website full of Jedi. Apologies to any harm or insult I may have caused to anyone.. Shame on you guys for poking fun at rl jedi by using the internet!!!! The Chewbax0rz clan does not support the JAA's bigotry!!!! Who is it for you guys (Komence and Sauce) to say pretending to be a jedi that can use the force, wield a lightsaber, and wear awesome clothes is a bad thing. I use to do it to when I was 8!!!! I find it quite disrespectful to throw such words at these people. Why this 'religion' is any worse than any usual one? I am not going into details, but I personally do find it kind of offensive guys...especially some of your posts here.

to complete the application would require a good hr. the most tedious part was 11. "11. Please describe why you have chosen to study in the Jedi arts and why you have chosen the Jedi Academy to do so. (300-500 word essay)" |
